...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the Holy Scriptures have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. His Ma and His Pa

Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek: Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium. Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek. And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem. And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.-Acts 16:1-5*** The Lord God gave the covenant of circumcision to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) when Abraham was 99 years old and  Ishmael was 13 years old. The Lord God told Abraham that each male child born or bought into Abraham's household was to be circumcised. Thus, Abraham was circumcised and Abraham circumcised Ishmael. Ishmael was the son born to Abraham and Hagar. Hagar was the maidservant of Abraham's wife Sarah (Sarai). When Abraham was 100 years old and Sarah was 90, Isaac was born to Abraham and Sarah. Abraham circumcised Isaac on the 8th day after Isaac was born. When Isaac was 60 years old, fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to Isaac and his wife Rebekah. Decades thereafter, Jacob married Rebekah's nieces Leah and Rachel. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and Dinah were born to Jacob and Leah. Joseph and Benjamin were born to Jacob and Rachel. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah, Rachel's maidservant. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant. The sons, the forefathers of the 12 tribes of Israel, were circumcised on the 8th day after they were born. When Dinah was a young maiden, possibly in her teens, she was raped. Jacob's son initiated a deal with the assailant and the assailant's father that led to all of the men in the assailant's town getting circumcised. Simeon and Levi killed all of the newly circumcised men. Over 300 years after the assailant and his townsmen were killed, Aaron and his brother Moses were born into the tribe of Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, they led the Israelites through the desert wilderness for 40 years, after leading them away from Egyptian slavery and across the divinely parted Red Sea, according to the commands of the Lord God. The male infants born throughout the 40 years were not circumcised. Joshua, Moses' successor, was from the tribe of Ephraim, descended from Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. After Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo, saw the Promised Land, died, and was divinely buried, Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Shortly thereafter, all uncircumcised boys and men were circumcised. Over 1,300 years after Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. On the 8th day after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was circumcised. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was circumcised, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven. The apostle Paul (Saul) was from the tribe of Benjamin. On the 8th day after Paul was born, Paul was circumcised. Eunice, the mother of Timothy (Timotheus), was an Israelite. Timothy's father was a Gentile, a person not born into the Israelite tribes.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 3:21-29, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-5:15, 23:1-24:33, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 6:1-8:4, 9:1-31, 11:19-28:31, 1 Corinthians 4:1-21, Philippians 1:1-2:30, 1 Thessalonians 3:1-13, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy
