...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Holy Scriptures have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Daddy's Girls

Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they builded the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even unto the tower of Meah they sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananeel. And next unto him builded the men of Jericho. And next to them builded Zaccur the son of Imri. But the fish gate did the sons of Hassenaah build, who also laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof. And next unto them repaired Meremoth the son of Urijah, the son of Koz. And next unto them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabeel. And next unto them repaired Zadok the son of Baana. And next unto them the Tekoites repaired; but their nobles put not their necks to the work of their Lord. Moreover the old gate repaired Jehoiada the son of Paseah, and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah; they laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, and the locks thereof, and the bars thereof. And next unto them repaired Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, unto the throne of the governor on this side the river. Next unto him repaired Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, of the goldsmiths. Next unto him also repaired Hananiah the son of one of the apothecaries, and they fortified Jerusalem unto the broad wall. And next unto them repaired Rephaiah the son of Hur, the ruler of the half part of Jerusalem. And next unto them repaired Jedaiah the son of Harumaph, even over against his house. And next unto him repaired Hattush the son of Hashabniah. Malchijah the son of Harim, and Hashub the son of Pahath-moab, repaired the other piece, and the tower of the furnaces. And next unto him repaired Shallum the son of Halohesh, the ruler of the half part of Jerusalem, he and his daughters.-Nehemiah 3:1-12***Amram and Jochebed were Israelites from the tribe of Levi. Years after Miriam was born to Amram and Jochebed, Aaron was born to them. When another son was born 3 years after Aaron's birth, Amram and Jochebed safely hid the infant from the murderous intentions of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. When the infant was 3 months old, Jochebed built a specially prepared ark wherein she placed the infant and set the ark among the vegetation on the banks of the river. The daughter of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, saw the ark, commanded that the ark be brought to her, and raised the baby boy as her son, and named the child MosesWhen Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, they led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery and towards the Promised Land, according to the command of the Lord God. When Aaron was 123 years old, he died and was buried upon Mount Hor. When Moses was 120 years old, he went upon Mount Nebo, saw the Promised Land, died, and was divinely buried.  Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. Sometime thereafter, Joshua, and Aaron's son Eleazar the priest, and the tribal leaders allotted the tribes their portion of land, according to the commands that the Lord God gave Moses. Joshua and Sherah (Sheerah) were from the tribe of Ephraim, descended from Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, their firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Sherah became associated with the building of Upper Beth-horon, Lower Beth-horon and Uzzen-sherah. Approximately 400 years after the tribes received their portion of the Promised Land, Rehoboam became the 4th king to reign over all of the Israelite. Rehoboam was from the tribe of Judah, descended from Jacob and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Rehoboam's father King Solomon. During the reign of King Hoshea, the 19th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel, the Assyrians invaded and conquered the kingdom, including Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Less than 150 years after Samaria was conquered, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) invaded Judah, the southern nation, and conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 70 years after King Cyrus, ruler of the Persian Empire, permitted Israelite captives to return to Jerusalem and Judah, Nehemiah learned that although the Israelites built a temple, the walls around Jerusalem that the Babylonians had destroyed were not rebuilt. Thus, Nehemiah prayed to the Lord God, and, when questioned, Nehemiah asked King Artaxerxes for permission to go to Jerusalem. Artaxerxes gave Nehemiah permission and the letters necessary to help Nehemiah. After Nehemiah revealed his mission to the Israelites in Jerusalem, the rebuilding of the wall and gates began, with even the daughters of Shallum, an Israelite official, helping to build alongside their father. Over 400 years after the wall was constructed and the gates were in place, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel 1:1-3:21, 8:1-31:13, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
