Called - Chosen

Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge; Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.-1 Corinthians 1:1-9***The Lord God chose Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and told Abraham to leave his country and kin and come into the land he would be shown. Abraham moved away from Ur with his wife Sarah (Sarai), their father Terah and nephew Lot, and journeyed to Haran in northern Mesopotamia. Sometime after 205-year-old Terah died and was buried in Haran, Abraham, Sarah and Lot journeyed with their servants and goods to Canaan. The Lord God promised to give Canaan to Abraham, and to Abraham and Sarah's son Isaac, and to Jacob (Israel), the youngest fraternal twin son born to Isaac and his wife Rebekah, and to their descendants. The Lord God chose Joseph, the 1st son born to Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, to be sold to traveling merchants and sold to Potiphar, an Egyptian officer. After Joseph was imprisoned for years due to the false accusation of Potiphar's wife, Joseph became second-in-command in Egypt. After experiencing famine in Canaan, and learning of a reunion with Joseph, and receiving a request from Joseph, and the consent of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, 130-year-old Jacob and his family moved from Canaan to Egypt. Sometime after 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt and his family buried his body in  Canaan, and after 110-year-old Joseph and his siblings were dead, their descendants the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. The Lord God chose Moses and Moses' older brother Aaron to speak to the Israelite elders, and to Pharaoh, and lead the Israelites away from Egypt, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur. The Lord God chose Joshua to succeed Moses and lead the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land. The Lord God chose Othniel, Ehud, Shamgar, Deborah, Gideon (Jerubbaal), Tola, Jair, Jephthah, Ibzan, Elon, Abdon, Samson, and Samuel as judges to lead the Israelites. The Lord God chose Saul to reign as the 1st king over the Israelites in the Promised Land. The Lord God chose David to reign as the 2nd king over all of the Israelites. The Lord God chose Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, to reign as the 3rd king, and build the temple of the Lord God that David wanted to build. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to reign over all of the Israelites. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Rehoboam was the 1st king to rule Judah, the nation in the south. The Lord God chose Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, to rule over the northern nation of Israel. The Lord God chose the Assyrians to invade the northern nation and conquer the royal city, Samaria. The Lord God chose the Babylonians  (Chaldeans) to invade Judah and conquer Jerusalem, the royal city. Both kingdoms were conquered, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. The Lord God chose Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth) to be the parents of John the Baptist. The Lord God chose Mary, a virgin, to be the mother of Jesus the Christ, the Son of God. The Lord God chose Joseph, a carpenter, to be the husband of Mary. Months after John the Baptist was physically conceived in Elizabeth's womb, Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in Mary's womb when Mary was a virgin. Months after John the Baptist was into the tribe of Levi, the birth tribe of Aaron and Moses, Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah, the tribe of David and his descendants, all of Judah's kings, to Mary and Joseph when Mary was a virgin. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that John the Baptist was born to prepare people for Jesus the Christ. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, John the Baptist baptized Jesus in the Jordan River. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. Jesus chose specific Israelite men, including Simon Peter and Andrew, James and John, Philip, Matthew (Levi), and Judas Iscariot, to follow him and be his disciples and apostles. Sometime after Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, and was arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven, Paul (Saul), from the tribe of Benjamin, the birth tribe of King Saul, began persecuting and imprisoning Israelites who believed Jesus to be the Christ. When Paul was journeying to the synagogues in Damascus, Syria, to find more Israelite believers, Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them. Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him, and Paul spoke to Jesus, and obeyed Jesus, and in Damascus Paul was baptized. From thenceforward, Paul the apostle journeyed and wrote divinely inspired letters, teaching the good news of Jesus the Christ and everlasting life to Israelites and Gentiles, people not born into the Israelite tribes.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges, 1 Samuel 1:1-3:21, 8:1-31:13, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, 8:1-40, 9:35-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 6:1-8:4, 9:1-31, 11:19-28:31, Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon
