Unmistaken Identification

And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone. But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God. And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret. And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased; And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.-Matthew 14:22-36***Elijah was a prophet of the Lord God living in the northern nation of Israel when the Israelites were living in 2 separate kingdoms in the Promised Land. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city, and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city, and Jeroboam was the 1st king to reign. During the reign of King Ahab, the 7th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation, Elijah was proclaiming the words of the Lord God to the Israelites. After Elijah became responsible for the deaths of over 400 false prophets in the northern nation, Ahab's wife Jezebel wanted to kill Elijah. Immediately, Elijah went to Judah, took his servant to Beersheba, went into the desert wilderness, and prayed to the Lord God. Elijah was divinely touched 2 separate times by an angel of the Lord God, and both times Elijah followed the instructions given by the angel. Forty days and many miles later, Elijah experienced the presence of the Lord God amid the atmosphere of a great and mighty wind. Sometime thereafter, Elijah and his successor Elisha were at the Jordan River, a chariot of fire with horses of fire appeared and Elijah went up into heaven by a whirlwind. Over 750 years after Elisha died and was buried in the northern nation of Israel, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the Israelite tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist. The Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus, and the Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. For 40 days Jesus fasted and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and Jesus went to Galilee. Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites.
