I Know I'm Being Worrisome, but...

And Gideon said unto God, If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said, Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water. And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew. And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the fleece only, and there was dew on all the ground.-Judges 6:36-40***Gideon was an Israelite from the tribe of Manasseh, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and Rachel, Joseph and Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's firstborn son Manasseh, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. One group of Amalekites were descendants of Amalek. Amalek's father was Eliphaz, and Eliphaz's father was Esau (Edom), the older fraternal twin brother of Jacob. The Midianites descended from Abraham and his 2nd wife Keturah. For a specific 7-year period, years after the Israelites began living upon the Promised Land, the Israelites were oppressed by the Midianites, Amalekites and other groups. According to the will of the Lord God, the Israelites were suffering due to the idolatry of the Israelites. Notably, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and many of their ancestors, and many of their descendants who reigned   in Jerusalem in the Promised Land are listed in the biblical genealogies of Jesus the Christ, the Son of God.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 26:28-37, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-34:12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges, 1 Chronicles 1:1-2:17, 3:1-24, 7:14-19, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
