Water, Water, Here and There, but Not a Drop to Drink

So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water. And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them, And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians; for I am the LORD that healeth thee.-Exodus 15:22-26***When Moses and his older brother Aaron led their fellow Israelites away from Egyptian slavery exactly 430 years after their forefather entered Egypt, the Israelites walked away with a vast amount of valuable goods. The Israelites, the descendants of Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah,  Jacob (Israel) and his wives Leah and Rachel, and maidservants Bilhah and Zilpah, and the 12 sons born to Jacob, his wives and maidservants, departed from Egypt with kneading troughs, dough, clothing, yarn, fabric, oil, flocks, herds, silver, gold, gems, the bones of Jacob and Rachel's firstborn son Joseph, and probably swords. However, the Israelites were not carrying enough water for a lengthy journey. Thus, while their 1st complaint occurred when they were in the area near the Red Sea and saw the Egyptians pursuing them, the 2nd complaint made by the Israelites occurred when they came upon some undrinkable water. During the 40th year of their journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses's successor, was from the tribe of Ephraim, descended from Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Over 1,300 years after Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born.
