Get to Gettin'

After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days. And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem, And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise. And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.-John 2:12-17***When the Israelites became involved with the Moabites while camped in the desert wilderness 40 years after Moses and his older brother Aaron led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness, Aaron's grandson Phinehas expressed his zeal and faith. Phinehas did not participate in any idolatry with the Moabites, and in his zeal for the Lord God, Phinehas went into a tent and used a spear to kill Zimri and Zimri's intimate companion. The companion was a Midianite woman and Zimri was an Israelite. Shortly thereafter, Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. Over 1,300 years after Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Rehoboam, the son of King Solomon and Naamah, and grandson of King David and Bathsheba, became the 4th king to reign over all of the Israelites. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city, and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city and Jeroboam was the 1st king to reign. After Jehu was anointed and became the 10th king to reign over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel, Jehu showed his zeal for the Lord God. Jehu used a chariot and commands and ended the lives of King Joram (Jehoram), the 9th king to rule the northern nation of Israel, and Joram's mother Jezebel, and descendants of Joram's father King Ahab, and King Ahaziah, the 6th king to rule Judah, and 42 of Ahaziah's relatives, and numerous idolatrous prophets, and everyone in Samaria related to Ahab. Over 750 years after Jehu's son Jehoahaz became the 11th king to rule the northern nation of Israel, and Ahaziah's son Joash (Jehoash) became the 7th king to rule Judah, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah, the birth tribe of David and all of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist. The Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus, and the Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. For 40 days Jesus fasted and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. In Jerusalem, Jesus made a small whip to use in his zeal for his Father, the Lord God in heaven.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 13:1-14:45, 20:1-29, 22:1-25:18, 27:12-23, 31:1-54, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-23, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
