In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)-John 7:37-39****Over 900 years after King Solomon built the temple of the Lord in Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the Israelite tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. On the 8th day after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was circumcised. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was circumcised, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. Sometime thereafter, Jesus was in Jerusalem during the Feast of Tabernacles. The festival, also called the Feast of Booths, began with a sacred assembly and a day free from work on the 15th day of the 7th month every year. During the weeklong celebration, the Israelites were to live in booths put together from tree branches. Thus, every generation of Israelites would know the manner wherein their ancestors lived after Moses and Moses' older brother Aaron led the ancestors away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness, according to the commands of the Lord God.
