...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

You Know We Know Him, Right

And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not. All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. The Jews then murmured at him, because he sad, I am the bread which came down from heaven. And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?-John 6:35-42***During the 2nd month after Moses and his older brother Aaron led their fellow Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, according to the commands of the Lord God, the Israelites, and those with them, were in the desert wilderness of Sin. The Lord God rained manna, bread from heaven, upon the Israelites, his treasured and chosen people, and wanted them to see and understand the true message of their provision. During the 40th year after the Israelites began eating manna, Aaron the high priest died upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses the prophet died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor  from the tribe of Ephraim, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. After Joshua and the Israelites kept the Passover, and ate unleavened bread and the land's produce the following day, the Lord God did not rain any more manna from heaven for the Israelites. Over 1,300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Jacob's 3rd born son Levi, the birth tribe of Aaron and Moses, to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus the Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Everyone familiar with local goings-on only regarded Jesus as the son born to Joseph the craftsman and his wife Mary. They knew that Jesus was raised in Nazareth, Joseph and Mary's hometown in Galilee, and that other children lived in the family household with Jesus, Mary and Joseph. They did not know that Jesus, the Word, was with his Father, the Lord God in heaven, in the beginning, and by him came everything into existence. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Lord God created Adam, the 1st man, in the beginning. The Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and the Lord God made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. Seth was born to Adam and Eve. Seth's great-great-great-grandson was Enoch. Enoch's great-grandson was Noah the ark builder. Shem was born to Noah, and Arphaxad was born to Shem. Arphaxad's great-great-great-great-great-grandson was Terah. Abraham and Sarah (Sarai) were born to Terah. Isaac was the only child born to Abraham and Sarah. Jacob and his older fraternal twin brother Esau (Edom) were the only children born to Isaac and his wife Rebekah. Levi was the 3rd son born to Jacob and his 1st wife Leah, and Judah was Jacob and Leah's 1st born son. Joseph was the 1st son born to Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel. Manasseh was the 1st son born to Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Ephraim was Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son. Sometime after 130-year-old Jacob moved with his family from Canaan to Egypt, Jacob proclaimed Manasseh and Ephraim to be his own sons.-Genesis, Exodus, Numbers 11:1-35, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 8:1-20, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-5:15, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, Colossians 1:1-29, 1 John 1:1-10
