King Solomon and Abiathar the priest
And unto Abiathar the priest said the king, Get thee to Anathoth, unto thine own fields; for thou art worthy of death: but I will not at this time put thee to death, because thou barest the ark of the Lord GOD before David my father, and because thou hast been afflicted in all wherein my father was afflicted. So Solomon thrust out Abiathar from being priest unto the LORD; that he might fulfill the word of the LORD, which he spake concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.-1 Kings 2:26-27***Solomon was the 2nd child born to King David and Bathsheba. David was the 2nd king to rule over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land, and Solomon was the 3rd king to reign. Before Solomon built the temple of the Lord in Jerusalem, the priests served the Lord at the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, that was located in Gibeon during David's reign and Solomon's reign. The tabernacle was built by the Israelites in the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, months after Moses and his older brother Aaron led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, according to the commands of the Lord God. During the 40th year of their journey from Egypt to Canaan, the Promised Land, 123-year-old Aaron the priest died upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses the prophet died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor from the tribe of Ephraim, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. While each tribe was being given its portion of the Promised Land, the Israelites placed the tabernacle in Shiloh. Over 300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, David began to reign. Amnon was born to David and Ahinoam. Absalom and Tamar were born to David and Maacah. While David reigned, Amnon raped Tamar. After Absalom arranged for his servants to kill Amnon, Absalom ran to Geshur in Syria (Aram), the kingdom of his maternal grandfather. Due to the planning of Joab, David's nephew and army commander, Absalom returned to Jerusalem. However, Absalom was not allowed to see David. Sometime after actually reuniting with David, Absalom began working to have himself proclaimed king while David reigned. David and many of those loyal to David hurriedly left Jerusalem, and David told Zadok the priest and Abiathar to remain in Jerusalem with their sons and the ark of the covenant of the Lord. After Absalom was killed, David returned to Jerusalem, and Abiathar continued to serve as priest. When David was old, Adonijah, the son born to David and Haggith, wanted to have himself proclaimed king. Abiathar and Joab were with those who gave Adonijah their support. Nathan the prophet spoke to Bathsheba, and Bathsheba spoke to David, and Nathan spoke to David, and David spoke to Bathsheba, and David gave instructions for Solomon to be anointed and reign as king. Abiathar's son Jonathan took the news of Solomon's kingship to Adonijah. Solomon declared that Adonijah would only be killed if Adonijah continued to be wicked. A request Adonijah asked of Bathsheba caused Solomon to command that Adonijah be killed. Meanwhile, Solomon spoke to Abiathar, who had always served David, even during the years David lived on the run from King Saul, before David reigned as king. Over 900 years after Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, became the 4th king to rule over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah, the tribe of David and his descendants, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings 1:1-14:31, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles 1:1-12:16, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
