And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him. And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own  house. And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.-Mark 6:1-6***The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that over 2,000 years ago, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin. When Jesus was conceived in Mary's womb, Mary was betrothed to wed Joseph, a craftsman. After an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream and spoke of the conception to Joseph, Joseph brought Mary home as his wife. When Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph, Mary was a virgin. Sometime thereafter, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and told Joseph to take Jesus and Mary to Egypt to avoid the murderous intentions of King Herod the Great, ruler of Judea for the Roman Empire. After Herod's death, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and told Joseph to take Jesus and Mary and return to their homeland. After Joseph received a divine warning in a dream, Joseph, Mary and Jesus lived in Nazareth, in Galilee. Mary had been living in Nazareth, her hometown, when the angel Gabriel arrived and spoke of her favor with the Lord God and told Mary that Jesus was going to be conceived of the Holy Spirit in her womb. Moreover, Nazareth was Joseph's hometown. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told  specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, the disciple and apostle, and Jesus was arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
