And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house. And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them. And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.-Mark 2:1-12***Salmon and Rachab (widely regarded to be Rahab from Jericho) are listed in the biblical genealogy of Jesus the Christ, the Son of God. In the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Book of Joshua in the Holy Bible, Rahab is identified as a harlot. Shortly before Joshua led his fellow Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants, Rahab hid 2 Israelite spies on the roof of her home. Rahab's actions helped save her life, and the lives of the spies and the lives of the family members in her household. Over 350 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Salmon's great-great-grandson David was born. Salmon and David were from the tribe of Judah, descended from Abraham and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob and Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah. Over a decade after David was was born, Samuel the priest, prophet and judge from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi, anointed David to reign as king, according to the command of the Lord God. When David was 30 years old, he began to reign only over the tribe of Judah. When David was 37 1/2 years old, he became the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites. When David was walking upon his roof, he noticed Bathsheba, the wife of Uriah. David and Bathsheba became intimate and Bathsheba became pregnant. David secretly sent Uriah to the battlefront to die. Afterwards, the 1st child born to David and Bathsheba died, according to the will of the Lord God. Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, became the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites. Over 900 years after Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, became the 4th king to reign over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God.
