And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.-Luke 2:1-12***When John the Baptist was born into the Israelite tribe of Levi to his elderly parents Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and Elizabeth (Elisabeth), and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, Roman emperor Caesar Augustus commanded that a registration be conducted. Thus, Mary journeyed to Bethlehem in Judea with Joseph, the craftsman whom she was pledged to wed. In Bethlehem, after Jesus was born into the Israelite tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin, Mary wrapped Jesus in the traditional cloths and in the traditional manner used for infants. On the 8th day after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was circumcised. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. The Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus, and the Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. For 40 days Jesus fasted and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed, arrested and crucified. Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus, a prominent Pharisee, wrapped the body of Jesus with spices and new linen cloths before placing the body of Jesus the Christ in a new tomb owned by Joseph. The 3rd day after Jesus was crucified, Jesus was resurrected. Throughout the following 40 days, Jesus was seen by over 500 people, including his disciples, and Jesus was returned to heaven.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Micah 5:1-15, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
