...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

Some Explaining

Jesus the Christ, the Son of God,
speaking to a crowd:

And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered. But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils. And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven. But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth. If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub. And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges. But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you. When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils. He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth. When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.-Luke 11:14-28***The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Judah was the 4th son born to Jacob and his 1st wife Leah. Jacob was the youngest fraternal twin son born to Isaac and Rebekah. Isaac was the only child born to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai). Abraham and Sarah were born to Terah. Terah was the great-great-great-great-great-grandson of Arphaxad. Arphaxad was born to Shem. Shem was born to Noah the ark builder. Noah was the great-grandson of Enoch. Enoch was the great-great-great-grandson of Seth. Seth was born to Adam and Eve. The Lord God created Adam, the 1st man. The Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and the Lord God made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. Before Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in Mary's womb, the Lord God sent the angel Gabriel to Mary in Nazareth, Galilee. The angel Gabriel said Mary was favored with grace, and the Lord was with Mary, and Mary was blessed among women. The angel Gabriel told Mary not to fear, and said Mary had favor with the Lord God, and explained the divine conception and identity of Jesus. Moreover, the angel Gabriel revealed that Mary's childless, elderly relative Elizabeth (Elisabeth) was 6 months pregnant. After Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in Mary's womb, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph while Joseph was asleep and told Joseph not to fear receiving Mary as his wife, and the angel explained the divine conception and identity of Jesus. Meanwhile, Mary went to visit Elizabeth. The son in Elizabeth's womb, John the Baptist, leaped when Elizabeth heard Mary's voice. Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost), and proclaimed that Mary was blessed among women, and proclaimed the blessing of the fruit of Mary's womb. Afterwards, Mary spoke humbly and reverently, and Mary spoke of herself and said that all the generations would count her blessed. On the 8th day after John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi to elderly Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth, and Jesus the Christ was born to Joseph and Mary, they were circumcised, according to the covenant of circumcision that the Lord God gave Abraham when Abraham was 99 years old. At least 40 days after Jesus was born, Joseph, Mary and Jesus were in Jerusalem. Joseph and Mary presented Jesus to the Lord, and Mary offered the appropriate sacrifice, according to the laws that the Lord God gave to Moses for the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Moses was from the tribe of Levi, and was a prophet of the Lord God, and died and was divinely buried 120 years after he was born. Over 1,400 years after Joshua, Moses' successor, led his fellow Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born. During the 12th year after Jesus was born, Joseph and Mary found Jesus in the temple in Jerusalem listening, asking, understanding, and answering. After Mary questioned Jesus, she went with Joseph and Jesus to their home in Nazareth treasuring up all these matters in her heart. The Holy Bible reveals that other children lived with them in the household. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. When Jesus was speaking to crowds, he was told that Mary and those with Mary wanted to see Jesus and speak with him. Jesus proclaimed that his brother, sister and mother are those hearing and doing the word and will of his Father, the Lord God in the heavens. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, the disciple and apostle, and Jesus was arrested. When Jesus was being crucified, Jesus proclaimed to his disciple and apostle John that Mary was John's mother, and John took responsibility for Mary. Afterwards, Joseph of Arimathea, a secret disciple of Jesus, requested and was given the body of Jesus. Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus the Pharisee prepared the body of Jesus for burial and placed the prepared body of Jesus in a new tomb that Joseph owned. On the 3rd day, Jesus was resurrected. During the following 40 days, Jesus was seen by over 500 people. Afterwards, Jesus was returned to heaven.-Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus 12:1-8, Numbers 13:1-15:45, 20:1-29, 26:1-27:23, Deuteronomy 31:1-34:12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, Ezra 1:1-11, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
