King Jehoash and King Hazael
King Jehoshaphat was the 4th king to rule Judah, the southern nation in the Promised Land. Jehoshaphat's son Jehoram (Joram), was the 5th king to reign. Ahaziah, the son born to Jehoram and Athaliah, was the 6th king to rule Judah. After Athaliah learned that Ahaziah was dead, she put her royal descendants to death and began to rule Judah. Ahaziah's sister Jehosheba (Jehoshabeath) took Ahaziah's 1-year-old Joash (Jehoash) and Joash's nurse to the temple of the Lord, and Jehosheba's husband Jehoiada the priest kept Joash hidden for 6 years. When Joash was 7 years old, Jehoiada presented Joash as Judah's rightful ruler, and Joash became the 7th king to rule Judah, and Athaliah was killed. Jehoiada obeyed the Ten Commandments that the Israelite ancestors heard the voice of the Lord proclaim, and obeyed the judgments, statutes, and laws that the Lord God gave Moses for the Israelites. Moreover, Jehoiada taught Joash to obey the words of the Lord God. After 130-year-old Jehoiada died, Joash and his officials led the Israelites throughout Judah and Jerusalem into practicing the idolatry practiced in other kingdoms. Several prophets of the Lord God tried to turn the Israelites back to the Lord God. However, the Israelites ignored the prophets and their pleas. When Jehoiada's son Zechariah proclaimed the words of the Lord God to the Israelites, Joash commanded that Zechariah be stoned to death. After King Hazael, ruler of Syria (Aram), conquered Gath, a principal Philistine city, Hazael wanted to conquer Jerusalem, Judah's royal city. Thus, Joash made a move to stay alive and remain king. Joash's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson Zedekiah (Mattaniah) was the 19th king to rule Judah. During the 11th year of Zedekiah's reign, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 100 years before Jerusalem was conquered, the Assyrians invaded the northern nation of Israel in the Promised Land and conquered the royal city, Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 500 years after Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah, the tribe of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:12-23, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

King Hezekiah and King Sennacherib
Now in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah did Sennacherib king of Assyria come up against all the fenced cities of Judah, and took them. And Hezekiah king of Judah sent to the king of Assyria to Lachish, saying, I have offended; return from me: that which thou puttest on me will I bear. And the king of Assyria appointed unto Hezekiah king of Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold. And Hezekiah gave him all the silver that was found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king's house. At that time did Hezekiah cut off the gold from the doors of the temple of the LORD, and from the pillars which Hezekiah king of Judah had overlaid, and gave it to the king of Assyria.-2 Kings 18:13-16***King David was the 2nd king to rule over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land. Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, was the 3rd king to reign. David was a man after God's own heart. Solomon worshiped the Lord God during the beginning of his 40-year reign, and ended his reign as an idolater. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to rule over all of the Israelites. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city, and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. King Pekah was the 18th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city, and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Rehoboam's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson Ahaz was an idol worshiper and the 11th king to rule Judah. When Pekah united with the king of Syria (Aram) to battle Ahaz, Ahaz turned to King Tiglath-pileser, ruler of Assyria, instead of turning to the Lord God. During Pekah's 20-year reign, Tiglath-pileser began taking Israelites captive. Hezekiah, the son born to Ahaz and Abi (Abijah), was the 12th king to rule Judah. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Hezekiah's trust in the Lord God was unparalleled among Judah's kings. Hezekiah refused to recognize the policies that were established between Ahaz and Assyria, and during the 14th year of Hezekiah's 29-year reign, King Sennacherib, ruler of Assyria, captured the strongest cities in Judah. Hezekiah's great-great-grandson Jehoiakim (Eliakim) was the 17th king to rule Judah. During Jehoiakim's 11-year reign, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) invaded Judah and Jerusalem and King Nebuchadnezzar, ruler of Babylon, began looting the temple of the Lord. Jehoiachin (Jeconiah/Coniah), the son born to Jehoiakim and Nehushta, was the 18th king to rule Judah. During Jehoiachin's 3-month reign, the Babylonians took more prominent Israelites, including Jehoiachin, his wives and mother, to Babylon. During the 11th year of the reign of Jehoiakim's brother King Zedekiah (Mattaniah), the 19th king to rule Judah, the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 500 years after Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah, the tribe of David and his descendants, all of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
