...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

The Way We Were

From a letter written by the apostle Paul
to believers in Ephesus and everywhere:

And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before  ordained that we should walk in them.-Ephesians 2:1-10***The divinely inspired letter that the apostle Paul (Saul) wrote to believers in Galatia reveals that the actions of the flesh include hidden and blatant immorality, impurity, unrestrained conduct, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, hostility, strife, jealousy, wrathful outbursts, rivalry, divisiveness, envy, murder, drunkenness, carousing, and reveling. In Paul's divinely inspired letter to believers in Ephesus, Paul explained the connection between the lusts of the flesh, and believers, and the Lord God, and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, who had been crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven years earlier.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 6:1-8:4, 9:1-31, 11:19-28:31, Galatians, Ephesians
