The Words of
Jesus the Christ,
the Son of God:
As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth, I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. These things I command you, that ye love one another.-John 15:9-17***Simon Peter and Andrew, James and John, Philip, Matthew (Levi), Thomas, Bartholomew, James the son of Alphaeus, Lebbaeus Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot (Cananaean), and Judas Iscariot were the 12 disciples who remained with Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, when other disciples left. They were also the first apostles Jesus sent to go only among the Israelites and preach the message of repentance and the nearness of the kingdom of heaven. While on the mission, the 12 disciples and apostles were also to heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, and cast out evil spirits. Each of the 12 disciples and apostles was an Israelite descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, and Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel). Abraham was a friend of God. Levi was the 3rd son born to Jacob and his 1st wife Leah, and Judah was Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son. Joseph was the 1st son born to Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel. 1,900 years after Benjamin was born near Bethlehem to Jacob and Rachel, and Rachel died, Jesus the Christ and John the Baptist were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus the Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born in Bethlehem into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee, Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal when Jesus told Philip, Simone Peter, Andrew, James, John, and Matthew to follow him, and when Jesus called the 12 disciples and apostles his friends.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 2 Chronicles 20:1-37, Isaiah 41:1-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, James 2:1-26
