Jesus the Christ, the Son of God,
is arrested
And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders. And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely. And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him. And they laid their hands on him, and took him. And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear. And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me? I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled. And they all forsook him, and fled. And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him: And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.-Mark 14:43-52***The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the Lord God created Adam, the 1st man. The Lord God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and the Lord God made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam. Adam and Eve knew they were naked. Sometime after Adam and Eve's son Cain killed their son Abel, Seth was born to Adam and Eve. Seth's great-great-great-grandson Enoch was the great-grandfather of Noah the ark builder. Shem was born to Noah, and Arphaxad was born to Shem. Arphaxad was the great-great-great-great-great-grandfather of Terah. Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai) were born to Terah. Isaac was the only child born to Abraham and Sarah. Jacob (Israel) was the youngest fraternal twin son born to Isaac and his wife Rebekah. Levi was the 3rd son born to Jacob and his 1st wife Leah, and Judah was Jacob and Leah's 4th born son. Joseph was the 1st son born to Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel. Approximately 1,900 years after Benjamin was born near Bethlehem to Jacob and Rachel, and Rachel died, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus the Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born in Bethlehem into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men, including Simon Peter, to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Many Israelites throughout Judea, Samaria, Galilee, and the surrounding areas listened to and followed Jesus, including several women who provided Jesus with financial support. A wealthy young man made a decision about following Jesus, and many disciples left after Jesus began speaking of flesh and blood. While at the Last Supper, Judas Iscariot, the disciple and apostle, left to betray Jesus. The remaining 11 disciples and apostles left after Simon Peter sliced the right ear from the head of Malchus, the servant of the high priest, and Jesus healed Malchus, and spoke to the armed crowd that came to arrest him. An unnamed young man, possibly the divinely inspired writer of the Gospel of Mark in the Holy Bible, also ran away.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
