Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever. These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.-John 6:53-66***The disciples of Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, knew that manna was the thin, white, honey flavored, resin-type flakes similar to coriander seed that the Lord God rained down from heaven for their ancestors to eat during the 40 years that they wandered through the desert wilderness after being led away from Egyptian slavery by Moses and Moses' older brother Aaron. Moreover, the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God, knew that there were specific dietary laws and practices that they were commanded to obey. Consuming blood was forbidden. The Israelites were taught that the eating of human flesh among them would be the result of a curse sent by the Lord God. The Israelites knew about the cannibalism that occurred in Samaria during the reign of King Jehoram (Joram), and in Jerusalem during the reign of King Zedekiah (Mattaniah) in the Promised Land. Joram was the 9th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel, and Zedekiah was the 19th and last king to rule Judah, the southern nation. Over 500 years after Samaria and Jerusalem were conquered, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah, the tribe of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Jacob's 3rd born son Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, and testified that Jesus is the Son of God. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, the disciple and apostle. When Jesus was arrested, the 11 disciples who remained with Jesus ran away. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Jesus was crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, including his disciples and apostles, and returned to heaven.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus 17:1-16, 26:1-46, Numbers 11:1-35, 13:1-14:45, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 28:1-68, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-5:15, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles, Jeremiah 19:1-9, 39:1-18, 52:1-34, Lamentations 2:1-22, 4:1-22, Ezekiel 5:5-17, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
