Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Holy Scriptures have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Against Me Are Ye

And they came unto Jacob their father unto the land of Canaan, and told him all that befell unto them; saying, The man, who is the lord of the land, spake roughly to us, and took us for spies of the country. And we said unto him, We are true men; we are no spies: We be twelve brethren, sons of our father; one is not, and the youngest is this day with our father in the land of Canaan. And the man, the lord of the country, said unto us, Hereby shall I know that ye are true men; leave one of your brethren here with me, and take food for the famine of your households, and be gone: And bring your youngest brother unto me: then shall I know that ye are no spies, but that ye are true men: so will I deliver you your brother, and ye shall traffick in the land. And it came to pass as they emptied their sacks, that, behold, every man's bundle of money was in his sack: and when both they and their father saw the bundles of money, they were afraid. And Jacob their father said unto them, Me have ye bereaved of my children: Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and ye will take Benjamin away: all these things are against me.-Genesis 42:29-36***Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun and Dinah were born to Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and maidservant Bilhah. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and maidservant Zilpah. Joseph and Benjamin were born to Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel. During a famine, Jacob sent Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, and Zebulun from Canaan to Egypt to buy grain. Jacob's sons returned home without Simeon. Years earlier, Jacob's sons returned home from Dothan without Joseph and led Jacob to believe that Joseph was killed by an animal. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Jacob's sons had actually sold Joseph to merchants traveling to Egypt. When Jacob's sons returned to Canaan without Simeon, the sons told Jacob that Simeon would not be allowed to return to Canaan until they took Benjamin to Egypt. Jacob's sons were unaware that the man who set the terms was Joseph. Moreover, Jacob's sons did not know that after Joseph was sold to the merchants, the merchants sold Joseph to Potiphar, an Egyptian official. After Potiphar's wife made a false accusation, Joseph was imprisoned. At least 2 years after Joseph explained the meaning of 2 dreams, Joseph explained the meaning of 2 dreams to Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and Pharaoh proclaimed Joseph to be second-in-command in Egypt. Shortly after Jacob allowed his sons to take Benjamin to Egypt, and Joseph identified himself to his brothers and told them to move with their families, including Jacob, to Egypt, Joseph and 130-year-old Jacob were reunited. Sometime after 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt and his body was buried in Canaan, and Joseph and his siblings were dead, their descendants the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Miriam and her younger brothers Aaron and Moses were born into the tribe of Levi. Over 1,400 years after 80-year-old Moses and 83-year-old Aaron led the Israelites away from Egypt, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and through a 40-year journey in the desert wilderness, according to the commands of the Lord God, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. In Jerusalem, the chief priests and scribes sent spies to be around Jesus.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
