...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

The Way They Are

Job speaks in the presence of his friends:

Men groan out of the city, and the soul of the wounded crieth: yet God layeth not folly to them. They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof. The murderer rising with the light killeth the poor and needy, and in the night is as a thief. The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguiseth his face. In the dark they dig through houses, which they had marked for themselves in the daytime: they know not the light. For the morning is to them even as the shadow of death: if one know them, they are in the terrors of the shadow of death.-Job 24:12-17***Job lived in Uz and was a wealthy, generous man who worshiped the Lord God. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Uz was eventually inhabited by Edomites. The Edomites descended from Esau (Edom), the older fraternal twin brother of Jacob (Israel). Esau and Jacob were born to Isaac and Rebekah. Isaac was the only child born to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai). Abraham and Sarah were born to Terah, and Terah was the great-great-great-great-great-grandson of Arphaxad, and Arphaxad was born to Shem, and Shem was born to Noah the ark builder. When Job was in the midst of suffering, Job's friends Eliphaz, Bildad and Zophar journeyed to Uz to console Job and sympathize. After Job, Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar spent a silent week together, Job began to speak. Afterwards, Eliphaz spoke of Job, the Lord God, and mankind. Job spoke of the Lord God and mankind, and Bildad spoke of the Lord God. Job spoke of the Lord God, and Zophar began to speak. After Zophar spoke, Job spoke to the three friends. Eliphaz, Job and Bildad each spoke, and after Job replied, Zophar, Job and Eliphaz all spoke again, with Job even speaking of the actions of wicked men. Over 1,800 years after Esau was dead and Jacob died, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 1:1-36:43, 1 Chronicles 1:1-2:17, 3:1-24, Job, Lamentations 4:1-22, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
