...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

'Tis Like

Proverbs Chapter 16 consists of 33 verses,
verses 9 - 15 are given below:

A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. A  divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment. A just weight and balance are the LORD's: all the weights of the bag are his work. It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness. Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right. The wrath of a king is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it. In the light of the king's countenance
is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain.-Proverbs 16:9-15***The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that over 2,000 years ago, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Over 1,000 years before Jesus was born, David was born into the tribe of Judah. Over a decade after David was born, Samuel the priest, prophet and judge from the tribe of Levi, anointed David to reign as king over the Israelites in the Promised Land, according to the will of the Lord God. When David was 30 years old, he began to reign only over the tribe of Judah. When David was 37 1/2 years old, he became the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites. Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, was the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites. Solomon spoke 3,000 proverbs. Solomon's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson Hezekiah was the 12th king to rule Judah, the southern nation in the Promised Land. Hezekiah was responsible for Solomon's proverbs being transferred or copied. Additional biblical revelations regarding kings:

-In the multitude of people is the king's honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince.-Proverbs 14:28...The king's favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame.-Proverbs 14:35

-The king's wrath is as the roaring of a lion; but his favour is as dew upon the grass.-Proverbs 19:12

-The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.-Proverbs 21:1

-Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.-Proverbs 22:29

-It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter. The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings is unsearchable.-Proverbs 25:2-3

-I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.-1 Timothy 2:1-4
