And Gideon came to Jordan, and passed over, he, and the three hundred men that were with him, faint, yet pursuing them. And he said unto the men of Succoth, Give, I pray you, loaves of bread unto the people that follow me; for they be faint, and I am pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna, kings of Midian. And the princes of Succoth said, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thine hand, that we should give bread unto thine army? And Gideon said, Therefore when the LORD hath delivered Zebah and Zalmunna into mine hand, then I will tear your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers. And he went up thence to Penuel, and spake unto them likewise: and the men of Penuel answered him as the men of Succoth had answered him. And he spake also unto the men of Penuel, saying, When I come again in peace, I will break down this tower.-Judges 8:4-9***Gideon (Jerubbaal) was an Israelite from the tribe of Manasseh, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and his 2nd wife Rachel, their firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Manasseh, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Gideon believed in the Lord God. However, Gideon thought that the Lord God had forsaken the Israelites. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Gideon received a visit from the angel of the Lord, and during the night, Gideon heard the voice of the Lord God. After using a fleece to receive confirmation of the assignment the Lord God gave him, and after hearing 2 enemies speak about a dream and its interpretation, Gideon worshiped the Lord God, and with an army of 300 men, Gideon defeated the Midianites and their allies. Moreover, Gideon and his men passed through Succoth and Penuel (Peniel) in pursuit of enemies kings Zebah and Zalmunna. Over 700 years earlier, Jacob temporarily stayed in Succoth after reuniting with his older fraternal twin brother Esau (Edom), and Jacob experienced a divine wrestling encounter in Penuel. Over 1,100 years after Gideon died and Abimelech, the son born to Gideon and his concubine, plotted to become king, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 26:28-34, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-8:35, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 7:14-19, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

The apostle Paul
Now when much time was spent, and when sailing was now dangerous, because the fast was now already past, Paul admonished them, And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives. Nevertheless the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship, more than those things which were spoken by Paul.-Acts 27:9-11***Paul (Saul) was a specifically educated Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and his 2nd wife Rachel, and Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin. Moreover, Paul was a Pharisee and Roman citizen. Paul did not believe Jesus, who had been crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven, to be the Christ, the Son of God. Throughout Jerusalem, Paul persecuted and imprisoned Israelites who believed Jesus to be the Christ of God. When Paul was journeying to the synagogues in Damascus, Syria, to find, bind and take to Jerusalem any Israelite believers he found, Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them. Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him, and Paul spoke to Jesus, and obeyed Jesus. In Damascus Paul was baptized. From thenceforward, Paul the apostle journeyed and wrote divinely inspired letters, teaching Israelites and Gentiles, people not born into the Israelite tribes, the good news of Jesus the Christ and everlasting life. Several times, Paul experienced attacks, imprisonment, and shipwrecks. On a ship with other prisoners headed towards Rome, Paul wanted to avoid another disaster.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 8:1-40, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 6:1-8:4, 9:1-31, 11:19-28:31, Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon
