From a letter written by James
to dispersed Israelite believers:
Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.-James 5:13-18***Elijah (Elias) was an Israelite and a prophet of the Lord God. King Ahab was an Israelite and the 7th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel in the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. Samaria was the royal city. During Ahab's 22-year reign, Elijah was proclaiming the words of the Lord God. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Elijah prayed at least 2 prayers that involved the weather and affected the land. Sometime after Ahab was wounded and died, Elijah was taken up into heaven by a whirlwind. Ahaziah, the son born to Ahab and Jezebel, was the 8th king to reign. Over 800 years after Ahab and Jezebel's son Jehoram (Joram) became the 9th king to rule over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings 1:1-2:25, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles 1:1-18:34, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, James
