The apostle Paul in Ephesus
And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. And all the men were about twelve. And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God. But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus. And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.-Acts 19:1-10***John the Baptist was an Israelite from the tribe of Levi, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that John the Baptist was born to turn Israelites to the Lord God, and turn the hearts of fathers, and turn unbelievers to the understanding of the righteous, and to prepare people for Jesus the Christ. Paul (Saul) was an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin, descended from Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, and Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin. Paul did not believe Jesus to be the Christ, the Son of God, until after Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them, and Paul heard the voice of Jesus, who had been crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven, speaking to him. Paul spoke to Jesus, and obeyed Jesus, and in Damascus, Syria, Paul was baptized. Apollos was an Israelite who believed Jesus to be the Christ. Moreover, Apollos wanted his fellow Israelites to believe. Thus, Apollos proclaimed the good news of Jesus in the synagogues in Ephesus. After Apollos learned more accurate teachings from Aquila and Priscilla, Apollos journeyed to other places and helped Israelites believe Jesus to be the Christ of God. People who were not born into the Israelite tribes were known as strangers, foreigners, sojourners, Gentiles, heathens, and Greeks. Asia is widely regarded to be the region known as Asia Minor (Turkey), or the former kingdom of Pergamos. Pergamos had become a Roman province and included Caria, Lydia, and Mysia. Tyrannus is not mentioned anywhere else in the Holy Bible.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 8:1-40, 9:35-44, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 6:1-8:4, 9:1-31, 11:19-28:31
