...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

Land, Cities, Borders, and Coasts

The tribe of Zebulun and their
inheritance in the Promised Land:

And the third lot came up for the children of Zebulun according to their families: and the border of their inheritance was unto Sarid: and their border went up toward the sea, and Maralah, and reached to Dabbasheth, and reached to the river that is before Jokneam; and turned from Sarid eastward toward the sunrising unto the border of Chisloth-tabor, and then goeth out to Daberath, and goeth up to Japhia. And from thence passeth on along on the east to Gittah-hepher, to Ittah-kazin, and goeth out to Remmon-methoar to Neah; and the border compasseth it on the north side to Hannathon: and the outgoings thereof are in the valley of Jiphthah-el: and Kattah, and Nahallal, and Shimron, and Idalah, and Bethlehem: twelve cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages
.
-Joshua 19:10-16***When Moses was with his fellow Israelites in the plains of Moab, the Lord God told Moses that the amount of the Promised Land to be inherited by each tribe was to based upon the number of people in the tribe, and each tribe's location was to be determined by the casting of lots. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the results of lots cast are from the judgment of the Lord God. Sometime thereafter, the Israelites in the tribe
of Reuben and the tribe of Gad asked Moses, and Moses' nephew Eleazar the priest, the son of Moses' older brother Aaron, if they could make their homes upon the land that the Israelites had wandered through for 40 years. Moses questioned the Reubenites and Gadites and reminded them of the previous discouraging incident involving some Israelites and the Promised Land. After receiving a response from the Reubenites and Gadites, Moses explained the terms of an agreement to them, and Moses told Eleazar, and the tribal leaders, and Joshua, Moses' successor, the terms of the
agreement. Moreover, Moses gave the Reubenites, Gadites, and 1/2 the tribe of Manasseh the portion of land requested. After Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land, and Joshua and the Israelites defeated a multitude of idol worshiping kingdoms, Joshua, Eleazar and the tribal leaders divided the land. The Israelites in the tribe of Zebulun descended from Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 6th born son Zebulun. Over 1,300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 26:52-56, 27:12-23, 33:50-34:29, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
