The tribe of Zebulun and their
inheritance in the Promised Land:
And the third lot came up for the children of Zebulun according to their families: and the border of their inheritance was unto Sarid: and their border went up toward the sea, and Maralah, and reached to Dabbasheth, and reached to the river that is before Jokneam; and turned from Sarid eastward toward the sunrising unto the border of Chisloth-tabor, and then goeth out to Daberath, and goeth up to Japhia. And from thence passeth on along on the east to Gittah-hepher, to Ittah-kazin, and goeth out to Remmon-methoar to Neah; and the border compasseth it on the north side to Hannathon: and the outgoings thereof are in the valley of Jiphthah-el: and Kattah, and Nahallal, and Shimron, and Idalah, and Bethlehem: twelve cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages.-Joshua 19:10-16***When Moses was with his fellow Israelites in the plains of Moab, the Lord God told Moses that the amount of Promised Land to be inherited by each tribe was to based upon the number of people in the tribe, and each tribe's location was to be determined by the casting of lots. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that the results of lots cast are from the judgment of the Lord God. Sometime thereafter, the Israelites in the tribe of Reuben and the tribe of Gad asked Moses, and Moses' nephew Eleazar, the son and successor of Moses' deceased older brother Aaron the high priest, and the congregational leaders, if they could make their homes upon some of the land that the Israelites had already conquered. Moses questioned the Reubenites and Gadites and reminded them of the previous discouraging incident involving a group of Israelites and the Promised Land. After the Reubenites and Gadites responded, Moses explained the terms of an agreement to them, and Moses gave the Reubenites, Gadites and 1/2 the tribe of Manasseh the land requested. Moreover, Moses told Eleazar, and the leaders, and Joshua, Moses' aide and successor from the tribe of Ephraim, the terms of the agreement. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses the prophet died and was divinely buried. Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. After Joshua and the Israelites defeated some of the idol worshiping kingdoms, Joshua, Eleazar and the appointed leaders divided the land. The Israelites in the tribe of Zebulun descended from Jacob and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 6th born son Zebulun. Over 1,300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 26:52-56, 27:12-23, 33:50-34:29, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
