Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Through with You

From a letter written by the apostle Paul,
with Silvanus (Silas) and Timotheus (Timothy),
to believers in Thessalonica:

Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you; Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you: Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us. For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread. But ye brethren, be not weary in well doing. And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him. that he may be ashamed. Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.-2 Thessalonians 3:6-15***Paul (Saul) was an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and Rachel, and Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin. Sometime after Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven, Paul was journeying to the synagogues in Damascus in Syria to find, bind and take to Jerusalem any Israelite who believed Jesus to be the Christ. Near Damascus, Paul and those with him saw a light from heaven flash around them. Paul heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him, and Paul spoke to Jesus and obeyed Jesus. In Damascus, Paul was baptized. From thenceforward, Paul the apostle journeyed and wrote divinely inspired letters, teaching Israelites and Gentiles, people not born into the Israelite tribes, the good news of Jesus the Christ and everlasting life. Paul journeyed to Thessalonica from Philippi, Amphipolis and Apollonia with fellow believer Silas (Silvanus). Some of the Israelites, Gentiles and well established women in Thessalonica believed the words Paul proclaimed about Jesus. Some of the other Israelites did not believe Jesus to be the Christ and were responsible for a riotous uproar. Paul and Silas were sent to Berea. However, before Paul left Thessalonica, the Philippians sent financial support to him, even as Paul was working to provide for himself and working to preach and teach the good news of Jesus the Christ. After the riotous Israelites from Thessalonica arrived in Berea, Paul was sent to AthensThe Thessalonian believers eventually received at least 2 divinely inspired letters from Paul, with greetings from Silvanus and Timotheus (Timothy).-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 8:1-40, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 6:1-8:4, 9:1-28:31, Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon
