From the words that
Jesus the Christ, the Son of God,
spoke to a group of Israelites (Hebrews/Jews):
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. I receive not honour from men. But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only? Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?-John 5:39-47***Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born into the tribe of Judah to Joseph and his wife Mary, a virgin, after being conceived of the Holy Spirit in Mary's womb when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. Over 1,500 years before Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Miriam and her younger brothers Aaron and Moses were born into the tribe of Levi to Amram and Jochebed. When Moses was 3 months old, Jochebed placed him in a specially prepared basket and set the basket among the vegetation on the banks of the river. After a maidservant brought the basket to the daughter of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, Miriam spoke to Pharaoh's daughter and arranged for Jochebed to be the wet-nurse for Moses. Sometime thereafter, Jochebed returned Moses to Pharaoh's daughter, and Pharaoh's daughter named Moses, and Moses lived as her son. After 40-year-old Moses killed an Egyptian, and the murder was mentioned to Moses, and Pharaoh wanted to kill Moses, Moses hurriedly left Egypt and began living in Midian. When Moses was 80 years old, the Lord God spoke to Moses, and the Lord God sent Moses and 83-year-old Aaron to speak to the Israelite elders and Pharaoh. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Pharaoh told Moses and Aaron to get the Israelites and their animals and go serve the Lord God. Moses and Aaron led the Israelites, and those with them, away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur. In the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, the Israelites heard the Lord God speaking to Moses, according to the will of the Lord God, and the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them, and the Lord God began giving Moses judgments, statutes, and laws for the Israelites. During the 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Miriam the prophetess died and was buried in Kadesh, in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron the priest died. Before Moses went upon Mount Nebo, and the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses the prophet died and was divinely buried, Moses told the Israelites about the blessings that would overtake them if they obeyed the voice of the Lord God and the curses that would overtake them if they did not obey he voice of the Lord God.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
