The Bottom Line

From the words that
Jesus the Christ, the Son of God,
spoke to a group of Israelites (Hebrews/Jews):

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. I receive not honour from men. But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only? Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?-John 5:39-47***Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born into the Israelite tribe of Judah to Joseph and his wife Mary, a virgin, after being conceived of the Holy Spirit in Mary's womb when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist. The Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus, and the Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. For 40 days Jesus fasted and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and Jesus went to Galilee. Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. Over 1,500 years before Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Miriam, Aaron and Moses were born into the Israelite tribe of Levi to Amram and Jochebed. Moses, the youngest sibling, was 3 months old when Jochebed placed him in a specially prepared basket and set the basket among the vegetation on the banks of the river. After a maidservant brought the basket to the daughter of Pharaoh, the ruler of Egypt, Miriam spoke to Pharaoh's daughter and arranged for Jochebed to be the wet-nurse for Moses. Afterwards, Jochebed returned Moses to Pharaoh's daughter, and Pharaoh's daughter named Moses and Moses lived as her son. When Moses was 40 years old, the murder he committed was mentioned to him. Moses hurriedly left Egypt and began living in Midian. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, the Lord God gave Moses commands for speaking to Pharaoh and to the Israelite elders. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Pharaoh told Moses and Aaron to get the Israelites and their animals away from the Egyptians and go serve the Lord God. Moses and Aaron led the Israelites away from Egypt, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, according to the commands of the Lord God.  Months thereafter, in the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them, and the Lord God began giving Moses judgments, statutes, and laws for the Israelites.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
