...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Holy Scriptures have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

Yet and Still

From the Epistle to the Hebrews,
in the New Testament of the Holy Bible:

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God; let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.-Hebrews 4:12-16***Melchizedek (Melchisedec) is the 1st priest mentioned by title in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible (KJV). The lineage of Melchizedek is not revealed in any of the Scriptures. However, the Scriptures reveal that Melchizedek lived before Jacob (Israel) and Jacob's 12 sons were born. Aaron and his younger brother Moses were born into the tribe of Jacob's 3rd born son Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, they led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, according to the commands of the Lord God. Months thereafter, in the desert wilderness of Sinai, Moses went upon Mount Sinai and was upon Mount Sinai with the Lord God for 40 days and nights. The Lord God told Moses to consecrate Aaron and Aaron's sons to serve the Lord God as priests, and only Aaron and Aaron sons and the sons born to their descendants were to serve the Lord God as priests. Aaron was the 1st high priest in the new priesthood. During the 40th year of their journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, 123-year-old Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, and Aaron's son Eleazar became the high priest. When 120-year-old Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and Moses died and was divinely buried. Over 1,400 years after Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Jacob, and to Jacob's father Isaac, and to Isaac's father Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to their descendants, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Jesus the Christ, the Word, was with the Lord God in the beginning and from the beginning and in him everything came into being. Jesus is the apostle and high priest of our confession and Jesus is the last  priest specifically identified in the Holy Bible.-Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus 8:1-9:24, Numbers 3:1-4:49, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, Colossians 1:1-29, Hebrews 2:1-10:39, 1 John 1:1-10
