...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

The Lord God Himself

Psalm 116 consists of 19 verses,
verses 1-9 are given below:

I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul. Gracious is the LORD and righteous; yea, our God is merciful. The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me. Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee. For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
-Psalm 116:1-9***When Moses was upon Mount Sinai 40 days and nights with the Lord God, the Lord God gave Moses 2 stone tablets whereupon were written, with the finger of God, the Ten Commandments. Before the Lord God sent Moses back to the Israelites, the Lord God told Moses that the Israelites had made and were worshiping a calf. The Lord God wanted to destroy the Israelites. Moses spoke to the Lord God and mentioned the Egyptians and Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), Isaac and Jacob (Israel). When Moses saw the calf, the Israelites and their actions, Moses threw the stone tablets to the ground, and addressed the Israelites. The Levites, men from the tribe of Levi, the birth tribe of Moses, joined with Moses on the side of the Lord God, put to death approximately 3,000 idol worshiping Israelites. Afterwards, Moses spoke to the Levites and the rest of the Israelites and told them he was going upon Mount Sinai to the Lord God regarding the sin that had been committed. Moses pleaded with the Lord God, and the Lord God answered Moses, and gave Moses commands, and the Lord God brought a plague upon the Israelites. The Lord God told Moses to start heading towards the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. The Lord God told Moses that he would send his angel  before them, and the Lord God said that he would not go with the Israelites because of the possibility that he would destroy them. Moses wanted assurance from the Lord God that the presence of the Lord God would be with him and the Israelites as they journeyed to the Promised Land, and Moses wanted to see the glory of the Lord God. The Lord God told Moses to return to Mount Sinai with 2 stone tablets. Afterwards, the Lord God descended in the cloud, stood with Moses, proclaimed his name, and passed before Moses while proclaiming his name and describing the divine actions of his love. The divinely inspired writer of Psalm 116 shared similar words about the Lord God. During the 40th year of the journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Moses went upon Mount Nebo, and the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses died and was divinely buried. Over 1,300 years after Joshua, Moses' successor from the tribe of Ephraim, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants,  Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 1:1-11:32, 31:1-39, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, Psalm 116, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:126
