...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

I Do Not Appreciate, as a Matter of Fact I Hate

King Solomon and King Hiram

And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the LORD, and the king's house, (Now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and fir trees, and with gold, according to all his desire,) that then king Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.
And Hiram came out from Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him; and they pleased him not. And he said, What cities are these which thou hast given me, my brother? And he called them the land of Cabul unto this day.
-1 Kings 9:10-13***After David became the 2nd king to rule over all the Israelites in the Promised Land, he began living in a fortress that was captured from idol worshiping Jebusite inhabitants. The fortress became known as the City of David and underwent improvements and expansions. The surrounding area, Jerusalem, was developed. King Hiram (Huram), ruler of Tyre, sent workers and wood to David, and Hiram's men built David a palace. Solomon was the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba.
After Solomon became the 3rd king to rule over all of the Israelites, and began reigning in Jerusalem, Hiram sent messengers to Solomon and learned that Solomon was going to build the temple of the Lord that David wanted to build. Thus, Solomon sent Hiram's men back with a request for wood and skilled workers. Hiram assured Solomon that he would send a constant flow of timber, and Hiram asked Solomon to feed the workers that were sent. After 7 years, the temple was built. Solomon's other building projects, including a royal palace for him and a royal palace for the Egyptian princess he married, took 13 years to build. Over 900 years after Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, became the 4th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to and their descendants, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah, the tribe of David and his descendants, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings 1:1-14:31, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles 1:1-12:16, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
