From a letter written by the apostle Paul
to Timothy:
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.-2 Timothy 2:15-19***When the apostle Paul (Saul) was journeying and writing divinely inspired letters, proclaiming the good news of Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, who had been crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven, Barnabas, Silas (Silvanus), Timothy (Timotheus), Lydia, and Aquila and Priscilla were among the many people helping Paul. Paul and his fellow believers encountered enemies who opposed the good news of Jesus the Christ and everlasting life. Several others, including Hymenaeus, Philetus and Alexander, were supposed to be working to serve the Lord. However, they were causing harm.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 8:1-40, 9:35-44, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 6:1-8:4, 9:1-31, 11:19-28:31, Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon
