...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

How Now Has This Come About

Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught. And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned? Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me? The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee? Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel. Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man. If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day? Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.-John 7:14-24***Shortly before the yearly Feast of Tabernacles (Feast of Booths), Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was in Galilee and his brethren tried to persuade Jesus to go to Jerusalem in Judea. Jesus did not leave for Jerusalem with them. However, Jesus left shortly thereafter and taught in the temple in Jerusalem. From their knowledge of family histories in Galilee and Judea, the Israelites (Hebrews/Jews) knew that Jesus was a carpenter and was the son born to Joseph the craftsman and Mary,  Israelites from Nazareth in Galilee. Moreover, the Israelites knew that when Jesus was in Jerusalem during a previous feast, Jesus healed an infirm man on the Sabbath day, and Jesus identified the Lord God as his Father, and Jesus identified himself as the Son of God.-Genesis 1:1-3:24, 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus 12:1-8, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24,  Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts  1:1-26
