...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

Which One

And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched him. And, behold, there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy. And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day? And they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go; And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day? And they could not answer him again to these things.-Luke 14:1-6***The Pharisees were a sect of easily recognizable Israelite men who followed the laws that the Lord God gave Moses for the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Moreover, the Pharisees followed the traditions that were passed down by the Israelite elders. Over 1,400 years after the Lord God gave the commandments, judgments, statutes, and laws for the Israelites, John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, were born. John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi, the birth tribe of Moses, to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth). Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. The Pharisees did not believe Jesus to be the Christ. Sometime before the Pharisees went with the chief priests to speak to Pontius Pilate, governor of Judea for the Roman Empire, about the burial  tomb wherein the crucified body of Jesus was placed, the Pharisees were watching when Jesus was at a meal with sinners and tax collectors. Pharisees were watching with others when Jesus forgave the sins of a paralyzed Israelite and spoke commands to the healed man. The Pharisees were watching with other Israelites in the synagogue on the Sabbath day when Jesus spoke commands to an Israelite man who was afterwards healed. A Pharisee was watching Jesus when a crying, sinful woman wet, wiped, kissed, and anointed the feet of Jesus in a Pharisee's home. Another time when Jesus was in the home of a Pharisee, the Pharisee watched as Jesus went to the table with unwashed hands. Moreover, Pharisees and others were watching Jesus when a physically afflicted man was in their midst.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
