Samson, his wife, his father-in-law,
and the Philistines:
But Samson's wife was given to his companion, whom he had used as his friend. But it came to pass within a while after, in the time of wheat harvest, that Samson visited his wife with a kid; and he said, I will go in to my wife into the chamber. But her father would not suffer him to go in. And her father said, I verily thought that thou hadst utterly hated her; therefore I gave her to thy companion: is not her younger sister fairer than she? take her, I pray thee, instead of her. And Samson said concerning them, Now shall I be more blameless than the Philistines, though I do them a displeasure. And Samson went and caught three hundred foxes, and took firebrands, and turned tail to tail, and put a firebrand in the midst between two tails. And when he had set the brands on fire, he let them go into the standing corn of the Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks, and also the standing corn, with the vineyards and olives. Then the Philistines said, Who hath done this? And they answered, Samson, the son in law of the Timnite, because he had taken his wife, and given her to his companion. And the Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with fire. And Samson said unto them, Though ye have done this, yet will I be avenged of you, and after that I will cease. And he smote them hip and thigh with a great slaughter: and he went down and dwelt in the top of the rock Etam.-Judges 14:20-15:8***The Philistines descended from Mizraim, and Mizraim was born to Ham, and Ham was born to Noah the ark builder. Samson and his fellow Israelites descended from Noah's son Shem, and Shem's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandchildren Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), their son Isaac and his wife Rebekah, and Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel). In Padan Aram, Haran, Jacob was married to Leah and Rachel, the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian (Aramean). Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and daughter Dinah were born to Jacob and Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah, Rachel's maidservant. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant. Joseph and Benjamin were born to Jacob and Rachel. Over 600 years after 110-year-old Joseph and his siblings died in Egypt, Manoah was born in Canaan, the Promised Land, into the tribe of Dan. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that years after Manoah was married, the angel of the Lord appeared and spoke to Manoah's childless wife and told her that she would give birth to a son. After Manoah's wife told Manoah about the prophetic occurrence and message, Manoah prayed to the Lord God and asked the Lord God to send the prophet back to teach them how to care for the child. Manoah's wife named the child Samson. When Samson was grown, he saw a Philistine woman in Timnath, a Philistine city, and Samson prepared to become her husband. In the midst of the wedding activities, Samson challenged the 30 Philistine male companions in his wedding party to answer a riddle. The companions sought the answer to the riddle by threatening Samson's wife, and Samson killed 30 Philistines in Ashkelon in order to pay the 30 Philistine riddle solvers. Afterwards, Samson went alone to his parents' home. When Samson returned to Timnath, he learned that his wife was given to a man from the wedding party. Samson caused a fire in the field of the Philistines, and the Philistines caused a fire. Samson killed more Philistines, and the Philistines wanted to capture Samson, and Samson allowed the Israelites in the tribe of Judah to take him to the Philistines, and Samson killed more Philistines. In the Valley of Sorek, Samson became involved with Delilah, and the Philistines made a deal with Delilah, and the Philistines were able to capture Samson. Over 1,000 years after the Philistines captured Samson, and pulled out Samson's eyes, and Samson prayed to the Lord God, and killed over 3,000 Philistines, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-16:31, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
