An elderly Israelite,
and an Israelite from the tribe of Levi,
and Israelites from the tribe of Benjamin in Gibeah:
And, behold, there came an old man from his work out of the field at even, which was also of mount Ephraim; and he sojourned in Gibeah: but the men of the place were Benjamites. And when he had lifted up his eyes, he saw a wayfaring man in the street of the city: and the old man said, Whither goest thou? and whence comest thou? And he said unto him, We are passing from Bethlehemjudah toward the side of mount Ephraim; from thence am I: and I went to Bethlehemjudah, but I am now going to the house of the LORD; and there is no man that receiveth me to house. Yet there is both straw and provender for our asses; and there is bread and wine also for me, and for thy handmaid, and for the young man which is with thy servants: there is no want of any thing. And the old man said, Peace be with thee; howsoever let all thy wants lie upon me; only lodge not in the street. So he brought him into his house, and gave provender unto the asses: and they washed their feet, and did eat and drink. Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him. And the man, the master of the house, went out unto them, and said unto them, Nay, my brethren, nay, I pray you, do not so wickedly; seeing that this man is come into mine house, do not this folly. Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing. But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go. Then came the woman in the dawning of the day, and fell down at the door of the man's house where her lord was, till it was light. And her lord rose up in the morning, and opened the doors of the house, and went out to go his way: and, behold, the woman his concubine was fallen down at the door of the house, and her hands were upon the threshold. And he said unto her, Up, and let us be going. But none answered. Then the man took her up upon an ass, and the man rose up, and gat him unto his place. And when he was come into his house, he took a knife, and laid hold on his concubine, and divided her, together with her bones, into twelve pieces, and sent her into all the coasts of Israel. And it was so, that all that saw it said, There was no such deed done nor seen from the day that the children of Israel came up out of the land of Egypt unto this day: consider of it, take advice, and speak your minds.-Judges 19:16-30***The Israelites in the tribe of Benjamin, the Benjamites, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and his 2nd wife Rachel, and Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin. Forty years after Moses and his older brother Aaron led their fellow Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and in the desert wilderness of Shur, they followed Joshua, Moses' successor, across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Joshua, and Aaron's son and successor Eleazer the priest, and 10 tribal leaders allotted the tribes their portion of the Promised Land, as instructed by Moses, according to the commands of the Lord God. Gibeah was a city in the portion of the Promised Land inherited by the tribe of Judah, the descendants of Jacob and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah. Gibeah of Benjamin was located several miles from Jerusalem, and was in the portion of the Promised Land inherited by the tribe of Benjamin. Moreover, Gibeah of Benjamin was possibly also known as Gibeah of Saul, the hometown of King Saul, the Benjamite who became the 1st king to reign over the Israelites in the Promised Land. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that over 600 years before the Benjamites encircled the home of their elderly neighbor, the men of Sodom encircled the home of Abraham and Sarah's nephew Lot, and Lot offered the men of Sodom his 2 daughters. Over 300 years after the Israelite traveler from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi, the birth tribe of Aaron and Moses, cut the corpse of his concubine, Saul cut 2 oxen into sections and sent the sections among the Israelites, summoning the Israelites to join him in a battle against King Nahash, ruler of the Ammonites, the descendants of Lot and Lot's youngest daughter. At least 1,000 years after Saul's sons Jonathan, Malchishua and Abinadab (Ishui) were killed by the Philistines, and Saul's self-inflicted death on the same battlefield, and David, from the tribe of Judah, became the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born in Bethlehem, approximately 6 miles from Jerusalem, into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 26:52-56, 27:12-23, 33:50-34:29, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 13:1-19:51, 23:1-24:33, Judges, 1 Samuel 1:1-3:21, 8:1-31:13, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:6-12, 8:1-40, 9:35-44, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26,
