Know What

And there went from thence of the family of the Danites, out of Zorah and out of Eshtaol, six hundred men appointed with weapons of war. And they went up, and pitched in Kirjath-jearim, in Judah: wherefore they called that place Mahaneh-dan unto this day: behold, it is behind Kirjath-jearim. And they passed thence unto mount Ephraim, and came unto the house of Micah. Then answered the five men that went to spy out the country of Laish, and said unto their brethren, Do ye know that there is in these houses an ephod, and teraphim, and a graven image, and a molten image? now therefore consider what ye have to do.-Judges 18:11-14***After Moses was dead, and Joshua was dead, and everyone who had known Moses and Joshua were dead, the Israelites began copying the religious activities of the idolaters around them in the Promised Land. The Lord God established judges for the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. However, the Israelites usually would not listen to or obey the judges. Thus, the Lord God stopped driving out the enemy nations that lived throughout the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that there was no judge leading the Israelites when 5 warriors from the tribe of Dan were searching for a place in the Promised Land wherein their tribe could settle. Dan was the 1st son born to Jacob and Bilhah, the maidservant of Jacob's 2nd wife Rachel. The warriors came across Micah's house, and they were with their fellow Danites later when the group went to capture choice land. As the group neared Micah's home, the original 5 warriors spoke of Micah's possessions. Over 1,00 years after Samuel, the priest and prophet from the tribe of Levi, became the last judge to serve the Lord God and lead the Israelites, and Saul, from the tribe of Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin, became the 1st king to rule the Israelites in the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Levi was the 3rd son and Judah was the 4th son born to Jacob and his 1st wife Leah.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 19:40-48, 23:1-24:33, Judges, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal. And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Beth-el. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Beth-el. And the sons of the prophets that were at Beth-el came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? and he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace. And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho. And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.-2 Kings 2:1-5***Before Elijah the prophet up into heaven by a whirlwind, Elijah and his successor Elisha spent time with 3 companies of prophets. The 1st group of prophets was at Gilgal, the place wherein Joshua circumcised the Israelite males born after Moses and Moses' older brother Aaron led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and through a 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land. The 2nd group was at Bethel. Over 1,000 years before Elijah and Elisha were in Bethel, Jacob (Israelwas in Bethel and began depending upon the Lord God. The last group of prophets was at Jericho. The Israelites had destroyed Jericho after Joshua led them across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land. Sometime after Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Othniel became the 1st judge to lead the Israelites.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-5:15, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings 1:1-13:25, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34,2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
