We Don't Even Know

And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders, And spake unto him, saying, Tell us, by what authority doest thou these things? or who is he that gave thee this authority? And he answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing; and answer me: The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then believed ye him not? But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet. And they answered, that they could not tell whence it was. And Jesus said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.-Luke 20:1-8***John the Baptist was born into the tribe of Levi to Zechariah (Zacharias) the priest and his wife Elizabeth (Elisabeth) months before Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Elizabeth's relative Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that John the Baptist was born to prepare people for Jesus, turn the hearts of the disobedient, and bring the Israelites back to the Lord. Jesus was born to reconcile man to God. John the Baptist baptized repenters with water while proclaiming the baptism of the Holy Spirit and of fire that was to come. Approximately 30 years after John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ were born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Jesus read and taught in the synagogues, commanded dead people back to life, cast out demons, forgave sins, and cured those who had ailments. Thus the blind could see, the lame could walk and the deaf could hear. Jesus chose 12 of his disciples, named them apostles, sent the 12 to perform similar actions, selected and sent out dozens more, and drove vendors from the area surrounding the temple in Jerusalem. After seeing and hearing Jesus, the Israelites were amazed and the chief priests, scribes and elders wanted to question Jesus and kill Jesus. Meanwhile, John the Baptist was imprisoned and beheaded. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Jesus was betrayed by the disciple and apostle Judas Iscariot, and Jesus was arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven.-Genesis 11:26-35:39, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 2 Corinthians 5:16-21, Ephesians 2:11-22, Colossians 1:1-23

They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind. And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes. Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see. Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them. They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet. But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight. And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see? His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind: But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age, ask him: he shall speak for himself. These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue. Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.-John 9:13-23***When the disciples of Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, questioned Jesus regarding the possible sin behind a blind man's condition, Jesus used the opportunity to teach about the manifestation of the works of the Lord God. Though it was the Sabbath day, Jesus mixed his spit with mud, put the substance on the man's eyes and sent the man to wash in the Pool of Siloam.
