...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Holy Scriptures have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. You're about to Croak from the Smoke

And the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and went northward, and said unto Jephthah, Wherefore passedst thou over to fight against the children of Ammon, and didst not call us to go with thee? we will burn thine house upon thee with fire.-Judges 12:1***When Gideon (Jerubbaal) was leading his fellow Israelites  to victory over the Midianites and their allies, the Midianites and those with them ran through the portion of the Promised Land that belonged to Israelites from the tribe of Ephraim. The Ephraimites descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and Rachel, Joseph and  Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim. Gideon was from the tribe of Joseph and Asenath's firstborn son Manasseh. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Jacob declared Manasseh and Ephraim to be his own sons. When Gideon sent calls for help, the Ephraimites were asked to join the force last. The Ephraimites questioned Gideon. Several years thereafter,  Jephthah the judge, from the tribe of Manasseh and the clan of Manasseh's grandson Gilead, was leading the Israelites in a battle against the Ammonites, with no other Israelites except the Gileadites on his side.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 26:28-37, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:14-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26

And Samson said unto them, I will now put forth a riddle unto you: if ye can certainly declare it me within the seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty sheets and thirty change of garments: But if ye cannot declare it me, then shall ye give me thirty sheets and thirty change of garments. And they said unto him, Put forth thy riddle, that we may hear it. And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle. And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto Samson's wife, Entice thy husband that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn thee and thy father's house with fire: have ye called us to take that we have? is it not so?-Judges 14:12-15***An angel of the Lord God appeared to Samson's mother and told her she would conceive and give birth to a son who was to be a Nazirite, set apart to do the work of the Lord God. The angel told the previously infertile woman that she must not consume any fermented drinks or eat any unclean food that was unclean, and she must never cut the child's hair. Thus, Samson was born into the tribe of Dan to the woman and her husband Manoah. Dan was the 1st son born to Jacob (Israel) and maidservant Bilhah. Samson learned to worship the Lord God, and learned the commandments and laws that the Lord God gave for the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Samson and his parents knew the laws regarding marriage, idol worshipers and food consumption. Yet, when Samson was in the land of the Philistines, Samson saw a Philistine woman he wanted to marry, according to the will of the Lord God. On Samson's return trip for the marriage ceremony, Samson ate honey made by bees swarming in the carcass of a lion he had previously slain with his hands, providing Samson with ammunition for a riddle. Over 1,000 years after Samson and a multitude of Philistines died after Samson prayed to the Lord God, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Judah was the 4th son born to Jacob and his 1st wife Leah.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus 11:1-47, Numbers 6:1-21, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 7:1-4, 14:1-29, 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 8:1-40, 9:35-29:30, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
