From a letter written by Peter (Simon) to believers dispersed throughout Asia Minor:
Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. For this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Use hospitality one to another without grudging. As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.-1 Peter 4:1-11***Israelites are the descendants of Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, and Isaac and Rebekah's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel). Gentiles are the people who were not born into the Israelite tribes. Over 1,800 years after Sarah, Abraham, Rebekah, Isaac, Leah, and Jacob died and were buried in a cave in Hebron in Canaan, and Rachel died and was buried a few miles away from Bethlehem in Canaan, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born in Bethlehem. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. After King Herod the Great learned that Jesus was born, Herod commanded that all boys 2 years old and younger in Bethlehem and its regions be killed. An angel of the Lord appeared in a dream and told Joseph to take Jesus and Mary to Egypt. After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream and told Joseph to return with Jesus and Mary. After Joseph received another divine warning, Joseph, Mary and Jesus began living in Nazareth, Joseph and Mary's hometown in Galilee, and other children lived in the household. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Jacob's 3rd born son Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men, including Simon Peter, to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Some of the Israelites wanted Jesus to suffer. Jesus was pelted with stones in Jerusalem. The Pharisees wanted Jesus to suffer destruction, and the chief priests, scribes and elders plotted to have Jesus suffer an immediate death. Simon Peter believed Jesus to be the Christ. In a divinely inspired message sent to believers, Peter revealed the relationship between Jesus, the suffering Jesus underwent, believers, their minds and actions, and the Lord God.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-12:25, 1 Peter, 2 Peter
