Do the Do's, Don't the Don'ts, and Be the Be's

The Words of
Jesus the Christ,
the Son of God:

But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also. Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.-Luke 6:27-31***When the Israelites were in the desert wilderness of Sinai, months after Moses and his older brother Aaron led them away from Egyptian slavery, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, they heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them. Shortly thereafter, the Lord God began giving Moses judgments, statutes and laws for the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. The Lord God described to Moses, and sometimes Aaron, the actions necessary for atonement to be made when a law was not followed. The Lord God also described the measures to be taken against those who blatantly disregarded the commands of the Lord God. Physical injuries warranted personal retaliation, anyone guilty of premeditated murder and those who blasphemed the Name of the Lord were to be put to death, and thieves were required to repay more than the amount stolen. During the 40th year of their journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to Abraham's son Isaac, and to Isaac's youngest fraternal twin son Jacob (Israel), and to their descendants. Approximately 1,300 years after Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Jacob's 4th born son Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was by baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist. The Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus, and the Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. For 40 days Jesus fasted and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. Jesus revealed that he had not come to destroy the law or Prophets, but to fulfill them, and Jesus taught that the law and the Prophets were until John the Baptist. Before Jesus was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven less than 3 1/2 years after he was baptized, Jesus said that the 2 foremost commandments were to love the Lord God with all one's heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love one's neighbor as oneself.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, Romans 13:1-14, Galatians 5:1-26
