Jeremiah the prophet prays to the Lord God:
O LORD, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke. Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy words was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts. I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, not rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation. Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail.-Jeremiah 15:15-18***Jeremiah the prophet was born to Hilkiah, a priest. Priests were only supposed to be from the tribe of Levi, descendants of Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. Hilkiah and some other priests lived with their families in Anathoth, in a portion of the Promised Land allotted to the tribe of Benjamin and given to the Levites. Benjamin was the 2nd and last son born to Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel, Leah's younger sister. Canaan, the Promised Land, was the land inhabited by idolaters that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Joseph was the 1st son born to Jacob and Rachel. Manasseh and Ephraim were the sons born to Joseph and his wife Asenath. However,
Jacob proclaimed Manasseh and Ephraim to be his own sons. Joshua was from the tribe of Ephraim. Over 400 years after Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land, Rehoboam, the son born to King Solomon and Naamah, became the 4th king to rule over all of the Israelites. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. The northern nation was always ruled by murderers and idolaters. King Pekah was the 18th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel. During Pekah's 20-year reign, the Assyrians invaded the kingdom and King Tiglath-pileser, ruler of Assyria, began taking Israelites captive. During the 9th year of the reign of King Hoshea, the 19th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel, the Assyrians conquered Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Rehoboam's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson Josiah was the 15th king to rule Judah. During the 13th year of Josiah's 31-year reign, Jeremiah heard the voice of the Lord God speaking to him. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that before the Lord God formed Jeremiah in the womb, the Lord God knew Jeremiah, and before Jeremiah was born, the Lord God sanctified Jeremiah a prophet to the nations, and before Jeremiah was an adult, the Lord God described Jeremiah's assignment to him and gave Jeremiah assurance. Thus, Jeremiah began proclaiming messages from the Lord God to the Israelites, although the Israelites refused to listen to Jeremiah or believe that he was speaking the words of the Lord God. Jeremiah was plotted against, and struck by Pashur, a priest's son, and put in the stocks. Moreover, Jeremiah heard a group of priests, prophets and other Israelites say that he should be put to death, and Hananiah the prophet worked to discredit Jeremiah, and Jeremiah was put in the court of the prison by Josiah's son Zedekiah (Mattaniah), the 19th king to rule Judah, and Jeremiah was accused of defecting, and was struck and jailed by some Israelite officials, and was put in the court of the prison, and was lowered into a waterless, muddy pit, and was put in the court of the prison again. During the 11th year of Zedekiah's reign, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Nebuzaradan, a Babylonian official, freed Jeremiah from the court of the prison and took Jeremiah with other Israelite captives to Ramah, a city located in the portion of the Promised Land allotted to the tribe of Benjamin. Afterwards, Jeremiah went nearby to Mizpah. When Jeremiah was with Israelite survivors in an area close to Bethlehem, in land allotted to the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah, the tribe of Solomon and his descendants, Jeremiah spoke the words of the Lord God to the survivors before they took Jeremiah with them to Egypt. Over 500 years after Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born in Bethlehem, into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Sometime thereafter, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and told Joseph to take Jesus and Mary to Egypt. After an angel told Joseph to take Jesus and Mary and return, and Joseph received another divine warning in a dream, Joseph, Mary and Jesus began living in Nazareth, the hometown of Joseph and Mary in Galilee. Galilee was in the portion of the Promised Land allotted to the tribe of Naphtali. Naphtali was the 2nd son born to Jacob and maidservant Bilhah, Rachel's maidservant. Before Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, and after Jesus was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven less than 33 1/2 years after he was born, the Roman Empire was ruling the land whereupon the kingdoms of the Israelites previously stood.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus Numbers 13:1-14:45, 20:1-29, 26:1-27:23, Deuteronomy 31:1-34:12, Joshua, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Jeremiah, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
