Some of the words that the Lord God told Jeremiah the prophet to proclaim to the Israelites:
At that time, saith the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves: And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth. And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places whither I have driven them, saith the LORD of hosts.-Jeremiah 8:1-3
Moreover thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD; Shall they fall, and not arise? shall he turn away, and not return? Why then is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return. I hearkened and heard, but they spake not aright: no man repented him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his course, as the horse rusheth into the battle. Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD.-Jeremiah 8:4-7
How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; then pen of the scribes is in vain. The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom in in them? Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.-Jeremiah 8:8-11Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.-Jeremiah 8:12***Isaac was the only child born to Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai). Jacob (Israel) was the youngest fraternal twin son born to Isaac and Rebekah. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and Dinah were born to Jacob and his 1st wife Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and maidservant Bilhah. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and maidservant Zilpah. Joseph and Benjamin were born to Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel. The Lord God promised to give Canaan, a land inhabited by idolaters, to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. When Jacob was 130 years old, he moved with his family from Canaan to Egypt, the country wherein Joseph was second-in-command. In Egypt, Jacob proclaimed Manasseh and Ephraim, the sons born to Joseph and his wife Asenath, to be his own sons. Sometime after 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt and his body was buried in Canaan, and Joseph ad his siblings were dead, their descendants the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Miriam and her younger brothers Aaron and Moses were born in Egypt, into the tribe of Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, the Lord God sent them to speak to the Israelites and to Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Pharaoh told Moses and Aaron to take the Israelites and their animals and go serve the Lord God. Moreover, the Egyptians rushed the Israelites to leave. Thus, Moses and Aaron led the Israelites, and those with them, away from Egypt, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, according to the commands of the Lord God. At least 3 months thereafter, in the desert wilderness of Sinai, the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them. Shortly thereafter, when Moses was upon Mount Sinai with the Lord God for 40 days and nights, Aaron listened to the demands of the Israelites and made a golden calf that the Israelites started worshiping. During the 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Miriam died and was buried in Kadesh, in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron died and was buried. Shortly thereafter, Moses began recounting to the Israelites many details of their journey, and their relationship to the Lord God, and their connection to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and the commandments, judgments, statutes, and laws that the Lord God gave him to proclaim to the Israelites, and the blessings that would occur if the Israelites obeyed the voice of the Lord God, and the curses that would occur if they did not obey the voice of the Lord God. When 120-year-old Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, from the tribe of Ephraim, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land. Sometime after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, and the elders associated with Joshua were dead, the Israelites began worshiping the idols worshiped by the inhabitants throughout the land. The Lord God established judges to lead the Israelites. When Samuel the priest, prophet and judge from the tribe of Levi was elderly, and his sons Joel (Vasni) and Abiah were wicked, and King Nashash and his fellow Ammonites were preparing to attack, the Israelites demanded that Samuel appoint a king to lead them. Saul, from the tribe of Benjamin, was the 1st king to reign over the Israelites in the Promised Land. David, from the tribe of Judah, began reigning only over the tribe of Judah when he was 30 years old. When David was 37 years old, he became the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites. Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, was the 3rd king to reign. Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, was the 4th king to reign over all of the Israelites. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of Solomon. Judah was the nation in the south, Jerusalem was the royal city and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Israel was the northern nation, Samaria was the final royal city and Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. Throughout the rulership of the kings, the Lord God sent prophets to proclaim his messages to the Israelites, and sometimes the prophets were killed. King Hoshea was the 19th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel. During the 9th year of Hoshea's reign, the Assyrians conquered Samaria, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Rehoboam's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson Josiah was the 15th king to rule Judah. From the 13th year of Josiah's 31-year-reign until after the reign of Josiah's son King Zedekiah (Mattaniah), the 19th king to rule Judah, Jeremiah the prophet proclaimed the words of the Lord God to the Israelites. In the 11th year of Zedekiah's reign, the Babylonians (Chaldeans) conquered Jerusalem, according to the will of the Lord God, due to the idolatry and other wickedness of the Israelites. Over 500 years after a group of Israelite survivors took Jeremiah with them to Egypt, and Israelites began returning to Judah and Jerusalem, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God.
