The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book. For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it. And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah. For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace. Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness? Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of the Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and I will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him: But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.-Jeremiah 30:1-9
Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid. For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished. For thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous. There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines. All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased. Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee. Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey. For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD, because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.-Jeremiah 30:10-17***Before Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) moved away from Ur in southern Mesopotamia with his wife Sarah (Sarai), their father Terah and nephew Lot, and lived in Haran in northern Mesopotamia, Canaan was a land inhabited by idolaters. Before Abraham, Sarah and Lot journeyed from Haran to Canaan, while Abraham and Sarah were childless, the Lord God promised to give Canaan to Abraham's descendants and Abraham. When Abraham was in a deep sleep, the Lord God told Abraham that the descendants would be afflicted in a foreign land before they began living in Canaan. One year before Isaac was born to 100-year-old Abraham and 90-year-old Sarah, the Lord God gave Abraham the covenant of circumcision, and revealed new names for Abraham and Sarah, and reassured Abraham that a son would be born to Abraham and Sarah, and told Abraham to name the son Isaac. Moreover, the Lord God told Abraham about the blessings for Ishmael, the son born 13 years earlier to Abraham and maidservant Hagar. Before Abraham sent his top servant to find a wife for 40-year-old Isaac, Abraham told the servant that the Lord God would send his angel before the servant. After the servant arrived near Abraham's family in northern Mesopotamia, and before the servant saw Rebekah, the servant prayed to the Lord God. Before fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to Rebekah and 60-year-old Isaac, Rebekah asked the Lord God about the actions of the babies, and the Lord God told Rebekah that the babies were 2 nations, and the oldest would serve the youngest. Joseph was the 1st son born to Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel.
Approximately 13 years before 30-year-old Joseph became second-in-command in Egypt, Joseph told his brothers 2 dreams about him being in a high position. When Jacob was 130 years old, he moved with his family from Canaan to Egypt, according to Joseph's request and the invitation of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. Sometime after 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt, and his body was buried in Canaan, and Joseph and his siblings were dead, the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Aaron and his younger brother Moses were from the tribe of Levi, descended from Jacob and his 1st wife Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 3rd born son Levi. During the 40th year after 80-year-old Moses and 83-year-old Aaron led their fellow Israelites away from Egypt, across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness of Shur, Moses proclaimed to the Israelites the laws for the king they would set over them and the events that would occur to the king and the Israelites. The Lord God told Moses that the Israelites would worship idols, and Moses told the Israelites that he knew they would rebel against the Lord God. Over 300 years after Joshua, Moses' successor, led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land, the Israelites demanded that Samuel, the elderly priest, prophet and judge from the tribe of Levi, appoint a king to lead them. Over 10 years after the Lord God sent Samuel to anoint Saul, from the tribe of Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin, to reign as king, and sent Samuel to anoint David, from the tribe of Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah, to reign as king while disobedient Saul still reigned, David began to reign only over the tribe of Judah. When David was 37 years old, he became the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land. Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, was the 3rd king to reign. Before Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, became the 4th king to reign over all of the Israelites, the Lord God told Solomon that he was going to tear the kingdom away from Solomon's son, give the kingdom to Solomon's servant, and leave Solomon's son with 1 tribe. After Rehoboam gave a specific answer, the Israelites split into 2 kingdoms. Judah, the nation in the south, consisted of the tribe of Judah and the tribe of Benjamin. Jerusalem was the royal city and Rehoboam was the 1st king to reign. Israel, the northern nation, consisted of the other Israelite tribes. Samaria was the final royal city and Solomon's servant Jeroboam, the son born to Nebat and Zeruah, was the 1st king to reign. Before the Assyrians conquered Samaria during the reign of King Hoshea, the 19th king to rule over all of the Israelites in the northern nation of Israel, the Lord God sent prophets to proclaim messages and warnings to the Israelites. King Mattaniah (Mattaniah), the 19th king to rule Judah, was the great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson of Rehoboam and Naamah. During the era before the Babylonians (Chaldeans) conquered Jerusalem during the 11th year of Zedekiah's reign, the Lord God sent Jeremiah and other prophets to proclaim messages and warnings to the Israelites. Over 500 years after Jeremiah was struck and put in stocks, and put in the court of the prison, and lowered into a pit, and released by the Babylonians, and taken to Egypt by a group of Israelite survivors, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah, the tribe of Judah's kings, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist, from the tribe of Levi. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites, the treasured and chosen people of the Lord God. Before Jesus was betrayed, arrested, crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven less than 3 1/2 years after he was baptized, Jesus spoke to his disciples and others about his return that will occur at the end of the age.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 13:1-14:45, Deuteronomy, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Jeremiah, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
