Always and Forever

Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him. The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name. Pharaoh's chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea. The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone. Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy. And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble. And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea. The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them. Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters. Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them. Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation. The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold of the inhabitants of Palestina. Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away. Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of thine arm they shall be as still as a stone; till thy people pass over, O LORD, till the people pass over, which thou hast purchased. Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O LORD, which thy hands have established. The LORD shall reign for ever and ever.-Exodus 15:1-18***Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) was living in southern Mesopotamia, in Ur, when the Lord God told him to depart from his country and kin and come into the land he would be shown. Abraham, his wife Sarah (Sarai), their father Terah, and nephew Lot settled in Haran in northern Mesopotamia. After 205-year-old Terah died, Abraham journeyed with Sarah, Lot, their servants, and animals to Canaan. The Lord God told Abraham that he would give Canaan to Abraham's descendants and Abraham. When Abraham was in a deep sleep, the Lord God told Abraham that the descendants would be afflicted 400 years in a foreign land. The Lord God told Abraham that he would judge the land, and Abraham's descendants would come away from the land loaded with valuable goods, and afterwards live in Canaan.  Isaac was born to Abraham and Sarah when Abraham was 100 years old and Sarah was 90. When Isaac was 40 years old, he married Rebekah, Abraham and Sarah's grandniece. When Isaac was 60 years old, fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to Isaac and Rebekah. Decades thereafter Jacob married Rebekah's nieces Leah and Rachel. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and Dinah were born to Jacob and Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and Bilhah, Rachel's maidservant. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and Zilpah, Leah's maidservant. Joseph and Benjamin were born to Jacob and Rachel. When Jacob was 130 years old, he moved with his family from Canaan to Egypt, the country wherein Joseph was second-in-command. Sometime after 147-year-old Jacob died in Egypt and his body was buried in Canaan, and Joseph and his siblings were dead, generations of Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Miriam and her younger brothers Aaron and Moses were from the tribe of Levi. Before 40-year-old Moses murdered an Egyptian, Moses lived among the Egyptians as the son of the daughter of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. When Moses was 80 years old and living in Midian, the Lord God spoke to Moses and sent Moses and Aaron to speak to the Israelite elders and Pharaoh. The elders believed, bowed and worshiped. Pharaoh refused to let the Israelites leave. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Pharaoh told Moses and Aaron to get the Israelites and their animals and go serve the Lord God. At the Red Sea, the Israelites saw the Egyptians and cried to Moses. Moses gave the Israelites a command and cried to the Lord God. The Lord God answered Moses and gave Moses some commands. Moses obeyed the Lord God, the Red Sea   retreated by an east wind, the water divided, and the Israelites walked across safely. The Lord God caused difficulty for the Egyptians, and before the Egyptians could completely turn around, Moses obeyed the commands of the Lord God and the Red Sea started flowing again. The Lord God caused the Egyptian troops, horsemen and charioteers to drown. The Israelites saw the dead bodies and the work of the Lord God, and feared and believed the Lord God and believed Moses. During the 40th year of their journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, was from the tribe of Ephraim, descended from Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Over 1,300 years after Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born.
