...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

No Telling What Because They're So Corrupt

Then the LORD said to Moses, "Leave this place, you and the people you brought up out of Egypt, and go up to the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, saying, 'I will give it to your descendants.' I will send an angel before you and drive out the Canaanites, Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. Go up to the land flowing with milk and honey. But I will not go with you, because you are a stiff-necked people and I might destroy you on the way." When the people heard these distressing words, they began to mourn and no one put on any ornaments. For the LORD had said to Moses, "Tell the Israelites, 'You are a stiff-necked people. If I were to go with you even for a moment, I might destroy you. Now take off your ornaments and I will decide what to do with you.'" So the Israelites stripped off their ornaments at Mount Horeb.-Exodus 33:1-6(NIV)***The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that over 1,500 years after the Lord God created Adam, the 1st man, and made Adam's wife Eve, the mother of all living, after taking a part out of Adam, Adam and Eve's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson Noah the ark builder was born. When Noah was 600 years old, he entered the ark with his wife, their sons Shem, Ham and Japheth, and each sons' wife, and a specific number of creatures. The Lord God brought a flood of waters upon the earth, and everyone outside the ark was destroyed. Shem's son Arphaxad was the great-great-great-great-great-grandfather of Terah. Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai) were born to Terah. When Abraham was 99 years old, the Lord God spoke about Sodom to Abraham, and Abraham spoke to the Lord God about any righteous people in Sodom. Afterwards, the Lord God destroyed Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboim, their inhabitants, and the surrounding region. Isaac was born to 100-year-old Abraham and 90-year-old Sarah. When Isaac was 40 years old, he was married to Rebekah, Abraham and Sarah's grandniece. Fraternal twin sons Esau (Edom) and Jacob (Israel) were born to 60-year-old Isaac and Rebekah. In Padan Aram, Haran, Jacob was married to Leah and Rachel, the daughters of Rebekah's brother Laban the Syrian (Aramean). Levi was the 3rd son born to Jacob and Leah, and Judah was Jacob and Leah's 4th born son. Er, Onan and Shelah were born to Judah and his wife, a Canaanite woman descended from Noah's son Ham. Over 300 years after the Lord God put Er and Onan to death, Miriam and her younger brothers Aaron and Moses were born into the tribe of Levi. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, many Egyptians died from the plague of hail and the plague of death that the Lord God brought upon Pharaoh and Egypt. After Moses and Aaron led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, and across the divinely parted Red Sea, more Egyptians died when the Lord God caused the Egyptians to drown. In the desert wilderness of Sinai, in the region of Mount Sinai, the Israelites heard the voice of the Lord God proclaim the Ten Commandments to them. When Moses was upon Mount Sinai 40 days and nights with the Lord God, Aaron obeyed the requests of the Israelites and made an idoldisobeying the commands of the Lord God. The Lord God wanted to put an end to the Israelites and make a great nation of Moses. However, Moses spoke with reasoning to the Lord God. Moreover, Moses burned, ground and scattered the ashes of the golden calf that Aaron made, and spoke to Aaron, and proclaimed an invitation to those who were on the side of the Lord God. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that approximately 3,000 Israelite men were killed. During the 40-year journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, Miriam the prophetess died and was buried in Kadesh, in the desert wilderness of Zin. Upon Mount Hor, 123-year-old Aaron the high priest died. When Moses went upon Mount Nebo, the Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and 120-year-old Moses the prophet died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' aide and successor from the tribe of Ephraim, was descended from Jacob and Rachel's firstborn son Joseph and his wife Asenath, and Joseph and Asenath's 2nd born son Ephraim, whom Jacob proclaimed to be his own son. Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to  Jacob, and their descendants. Over 1,300 years after 110-year-old Joshua died and was buried in his tribe's portion of the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin.-Genesis, Exodus, Numbers 13:1-14:45, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
