But in all Israel there was none to be so much praised as Absalom for his beauty: from the sole of his foot even to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him. And when he polled his head, (for it was at every year's end that he polled it: because the hair was heavy on him, therefore he polled it:) he weighed the hair of his head at two hundred shekels after the king's weight. And unto Absalom there were born three sons, and one daughter, whose name was Tamar: she was a woman of a fair countenance.-2 Samuel 14:25-27***David was an Israelite from the tribe of Judah, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah.  David became the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelites in the Promised Land, the land that the Lord God promised to give to Abraham, and Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants. Amnon was born to David and Ahinoam. Absalom and Tamar were born to David and Maacah, a princess from Geshur in Syria (Aram). The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that Tamar was a beautiful woman, and Amnon raped Tamar, and Absalom commanded Amnon's death. After Amnon was killed, Absalom ran to Geshur, lived in Geshur for 3 years and returned to Jerusalem. Three sons and a daughter, Tamar, were born to Absalom. Meanwhile, Absalom worked to have himself proclaimed king while David still reigned. Shortly after Absalom's kingship was announced, Absalom was killed when his head was stuck in the branches of a tree. Over 900 years after Solomon, the 2nd son born to David and Bathsheba, became the 3rd king to reign over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born.
