...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

We Need a Plan
Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover. And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people. Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve. And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them. And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money. And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude.-Luke 22:1-6***Judas Iscariot was an Israelite and 1 of the 12 disciples and apostles of Jesus the Christ, the Son of God. Over 1,000 years before Judas Iscariot was prompted to betray Jesus the Christ, David was born into the tribe of Judah, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and Leah, and Jacob and Leah's 4th born son Judah. Over a decade after David was born, David was anointed to reign as king, according to the command of the Lord God. When David was 30 years old, he began to reign only over the tribe of Judah in the Promised Land. When David was 37 1/2 years old, he became the 2nd king to reign over all of the Israelite tribes. While reigning, David was prompted to learn the exact number of eligible fighters among the Israelites. David's actions resulted in him praying to the Lord God, and the Lord God offering 3 choices of destruction to David. David accepted responsibility for his actions and received a message to build, on specific property, an altar. David paid a large sum to Araunah (Ornan), the property's owner. Solomon, the 2nd child born to David and Bathsheba, was the 3rd king to rule over all of the Israelites. During the 4th year of Solomon's 40-year reign, Solomon began building the temple of the Lord on the grounds whereupon the altar was built in Jerusalem. During the 11th year of Solomon's reign, Solomon's workers finished building the temple. Over 900 years after Rehoboam, the son born to Solomon and Naamah, became the 4th king to reign over all of the Israelites, Jesus the Christ was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah, the tribe of David and his descendants, to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Less than 3 1/2 years after Jesus was baptized, Judas Iscariot displayed his traitorous actions. Judas Iscariot received 30 silver coins, and was with the band of armed arresters coming towards Jesus. Before Jesus was crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, seen by over 500 people, and returned to heaven, Judas Iscariot killed himself.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 1:1-54, 26:1-65, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 23:1-24:33, Judges 1:1-2:23, 1 Samuel 1:1-3:21, 8:1-31:13, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings 1:1-11:43, 1 Chronicles 1:1-34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 10:1-29:30, 2 Chronicles 1:1-9:31, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
