...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Holy Scriptures have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Roll Call

And the Lord spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying, Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls; from twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies. And with you there shall be a man of every tribe; every one head of the house of his fathers. And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of the tribe of Reuben; Elizur the son of Shedeur. Of Simeon; Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai. Of Judah; Nahshon the son of Amminadab. Of Issachar; Nethaneel the son of Zuar. Of Zebulun; Eliab the son of Helon. Of the children of Joseph: of Ephraim; Elishama the son of Ammihud: of Manasseh; Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur. Of Benjamin; Abidan the son of Gideoni. Of Dan; Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai. Of Asher; Pagiel the son of Ocran. Of Gad; Eliasaph the son of Deuel. Of Naphtali; Ahira the son of Enan. These were the renowned of the congregation, princes of the tribes of their fathers, heads of thousands in Israel. And Moses and Aaron took these men which are expressed by their names: and they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they declared their pedigrees after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls. As the LORD commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.-Numbers 1:1-19***Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and Dinah were born to Jacob (Israel) and his 1st wife Leah. Dan and Naphtali were born to Jacob and maidservant Bilhah. Gad and Asher were born to Jacob and maidservant Zilpah.  Joseph and Benjamin were born to Jacob and his 2nd wife Rachel.  Manasseh and Ephraim were born to Joseph and his wife Asenath. However, Jacob proclaimed Manasseh and Ephraim to be his own sons. The tribes of Israel are the descendants, the families, of each son, and the descendants are identified as Israelites, Hebrews and Jews. The Lord God promised to give Canaan, the land of milk and honey, to Jacob, and to Jacob's father Isaac, and to Isaac's father Abraham (Abram the Hebrew), and to their descendants. Jacob and his older fraternal twin brother Esau (Edom) were born in Canaan. After Jacob's deceitful actions toward Esau and Isaac when Isaac was elderly, Jacob was sent to live in Haran, in northern Mesopotamia. Eleven sons and Dinah were born in Haran. Benjamin was born in Canaan, near Bethlehem, after Jacob returned to Canaan with his children, their mothers, and all that he owned. In Canaan, when Joseph was at least 17 years old, Joseph was sold into slavery by his hateful brothers and taken to Egypt. According to the will of the Lord God, Jacob went from being the top enslaved servant in the home of Potiphar, to being imprisoned, to being second-in-command in Egypt. During the 2nd trip Joseph's brothers made Egypt to buy grain, Joseph identified himself to them and Joseph told his brothers to return to Canaan and get their families and Jacob and move to Egypt. Sometime after Jacob died in Egypt and was buried in Canaan, and after Joseph and his brothers were dead, the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. Aaron and his brother Moses were born into the tribe of LeviHowever, during Moses' first 40 years, Moses lived as the son of the daughter of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. When Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83, the Lord God sent them to speak to the Israelite elders and to Pharaoh. After the Lord God brought the 10th and final plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Moses and Aaron led the Israelites away from Egyptian slavery, and across the divinely parted Red Sea, and into the desert wilderness. The divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible reveal that at least 600,000 men, and an untold number of women, children, and people not born into the Israelite tribes, walked away from Egypt under the leadership of Moses and Aaron. During the 2nd year of the journey towards Canaan, the Promised Land, the Lord God told Moses to conduct a census of all fit and capable Israelite men, 20 years old and above, who were not from the tribe of Levi. The Levites were not to be counted, according to the commands of the Lord God. In the 40th year of the journey, Aaron died and was buried upon Mount Hor, and Moses went upon Mount Nebo. The Lord God showed Moses the Promised Land, and Moses died and was divinely buried. Joshua, Moses' successor, was from the tribe of Ephraim. Over 1,400 years after Joshua led the Israelites across the divinely parted Jordan River and onto the Promised Land, Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, was born. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Approximately 30 years after Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by Mary's relative John the Baptist. Jesus having prayed, the heavens tearing open, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and lit upon Jesus. The Lord God in heaven audibly acknowledged his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert wilderness. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and was tempted. Afterwards, Jesus was tended to by angels, and Jesus went to the area near John the Baptist, and John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus to be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In Galilee, Jesus told specific Israelite men to follow him, and Jesus began to preach, teach and perform miracles among the Israelites. In the desert wilderness, Jesus told his disciples to count the number of loaves available, and thousands of people were fed.-Genesis 11:26-50:26, Exodus, Numbers 1:1-54, 20:1-29, 27:12-23, Deuteronomy 31:1-30, 32:44-52, 34:1-12, Joshua 1:1-4:24, 1 Chronicles 1:1-2:17, 3:1-24, 6:1-81, 7:20-29, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26
