...................................................................LET US LEARN TOGETHER WHAT IS GOOD. Job 34:4b(NIV)................................................................Some people see the Bible as a long and boring book filled with incidents and events from the lives of ancient people who probably never existed. The biblical stories are seen as fables. Notably, Romans 15:4 reveals: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.(KJV) In this blog, many of the situations and conversations found in the divinely inspired Scriptures of the Holy Bible have been placed in categories that correspond to expressive sayings and phrases. Reference information, background information and links connecting the people and places are given to help you find a place to begin reading the Bible for yourself.

Do the Do's, Don't the Don'ts, and Be the Be's

From a letter written by the apostle Paul
 to Timothy:

If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed. Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward. Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses. Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality. Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure. Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities. Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after. Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.-1 Timothy 5:16-25***The apostle Paul (Saul) was an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin, descended from Abraham (Abram the Hebrew) and Sarah (Sarai), Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob (Israel) and Rachel, and Jacob and Rachel's 2nd and last son Benjamin. Eunice, an Israelite, was the mother of Timothy  (Timotheus). Timothy's father was a Gentile, a person not born into the Israelite tribes. Eunice believed Jesus, who had been crucified, buried in a tomb, resurrected, and returned to heaven, to be the Christ, the Son of God. Over 35 years before Paul and Timothy were introduced, Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary, a virgin, and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah to Mary and her husband Joseph when Mary was a virgin. Judah was the 4th son born to Jacob and his 1st wife Leah. In 1 of at least 2 divinely inspired letters Paul sent to Timothy after they began journeying together and teaching Israelites and Gentiles the good news of Jesus the Christ and eternal life, Paul wrote of the actions involving false teachers, false teachings, prayer and intercession, church overseers, deacons, elders, slaves and bondservants, unmarried women, wives and widows.-Genesis 11:26-35:29, 1 Chronicles 1:1-28,34, 2:1-17, 3:1-24, 8:1-40, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts 1:1-26, 6:1-8:4, 9:1-31, 11:19-28:31, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy
